*Re-Listing due to non paying bidder*1968 Mustang GT Fastback. J Code, 302 V8, 4bbl, SpeedManual. Original numbers matching engineand Carburetor with tag. Smog equipment still installed. Partial VIN matchingthis car located on the engine rear deck in back of the intake manifold. Nice car, owned it for little under year. Just don’thave the time for this one. It needs full restoration. Front frame rails needto be replaced due to rust and possibly both rears. Torque boxes as well. Luckily all theseitems are readily available and good quality for reasonable price. I’m not adealer but hobbyist that buys these cars, restores to some point and enjoysthem before selling them but have few too many projects waiting for me. Car runs fine with no hint of oil burning. Car was running of somesort when purchased it but replaced the gas tank and fuel sender to get itrunning cleanly. It has holley 6004bbl on it now but the original Autolite 4300 is in the trunk. Brakes need to be redone and sadly at somepoint in its life the front disc brakes which were standard on GT were removed and replaced with drums.Dual master cylinder and all the lines are still there. Brakes work if you pumpthem but need to be gone through. Interior is in good condition for its age. Fold down rearseat, no speaker hole cutouts in the rear area. Instrument panel has thetachometer and trip odometer options. Body is in ok shape for 51 year old car but don’t knowwhat lies underneath the blue paint. The hood was modified with an extra pieceof steel on the front to make it look longer. Shelby style scoops added to thebody as well as the Shelby style fiberglass trunk lid spoiler. A custom front metal spoiler was installed bya previous owner also. Car was painted Royal Maroon from the factory. Please seethe Marti Report in one of the pictures for the particular details on this car. This is great project car to customize into Shelby orBullet clone. Or even better, restore it to the original GT 4spd Fastback thatit is. Unrestored GT Fastback Mustangs are becoming increasingly rare and witha 4speed, even more.
