Rare 1966 Mercury Cyclone GT 390 speed!! This car was owned by my uncle and was part of his collection. He owned it since 1978 and over the years, he spent countless hours restoring and maintaining his pride and joy. The car has always been parked in climate controlled garage. The restoration is an older one, but the car was hardly driven- only on nice days and to the odd car show!! This car is immaculate and well maintained. Unfortunately my uncle passed away in 2013 and the car was kept in his shop covered up. Because it sat for number of years, some mechanical work was needed and was completed recently. My aunt is now ready to let the car go to new owner. Hopefully someone will take care of it like my uncle once did. For all you Ford muscle car enthusiasts, you well know that this car is very rare. The S-code 390 speed Cyclone GT with the factory fibreglass dual snorkel hood are well sought after cars. You will be hard pressed to find one in this condition. Heres list of all the recent work done:-New front upper ball joints-New front brakes and wheel cylinders-New battery-New front and rear shocks-New left rear axle sealThe car passed complete government inspection- have document showing this.Please note: During the inspection process, some rust was discovered on the front floor pans and intermediate cross rib between the frame rails. have pictures of this rust( will forward these pictures upon request). The car reserve price has been adjusted accordingly to account for this. This car was listed once already in August and did sell. However the deal fell through and it is up for sale again.I am selling this car for my aunt. It is reserve auction. Please do not ask what the reserve is- bid to what you can afford.
