The work above is more than what am asking for the car. But sadly need to get taller car as am about to have surgery on my knee and won't be able to get in and out of this any more. If you check the MOT histories, all the advisories have always been taken care of. am more than happy for you to have the car AA/RAC inspected.
I have loads of history with this car. The servicing has only ever been done by Saab Master Mechanic who runs his own Saab garage local to me. also have GM Master Mechanic work on it when my Saab mechanic is backed up busy. At minimum, the car has oil and filter changes every 6000 miles. bought the car at 54K miles and it now has 130K which will increase very slightly over time. Working from home means the car does not get used for long distances anymore. My wife sometimes "steals" my car some mornings when she can't be bothered to take her own !!
There are some little dings here and there when inconsiderate people hit their car doors into my car. But to be honest, we all get these at some stage, but for car that is 12 years old, this car is in superb condition. The leather is two tone anniversary spec. The car in standard form is 260 bhp, but had the car remapped when put the SS exhaust on and it is pushing more than the standard now and you can really feel it to. Especially in Sport mode.
The lights are Xenon and had the bulbs replaced at considerable cost and had them fitted properly which means removing the front bumper to get the light units out. Unless you have the hands of year old, this is the best and easiest way to replace the bulbs. Suffice to say the bulbs are unlikely to need replacing for many years to come. fitted Philips bulbs and not any Chinese rubbish. firmly believe you get what you pay for when getting parts for cars.
All vacuum pipes have been replaced with red silicon to ensure there are no air leaks (there was about year ago which resulted in me replacing all the pipework).
I also have the new Saab Jalouise which haven't got round to replacing yet. This is the bit that "fold" up in the auto gear change. common fault and an easy fix. Just one that haven't got round to doing. This will also come with the car. This is new Saab part and not Chinese copy.
I have bundle of receipts which will all come with the car including the original leatherette book and manual etc.
Having friend in the tyre trade is also useful as it means get access to top brand tyres at reasonable cost. The tread on the Goodyear Eagle F1's is excellent and the handling with the new Powerflex bushes and rear upgraded shocks makes this car stick like no other. You will honestly not be disappointed when you are in the mood to throw the car about.
As stated, this car needs nothing. am fortunate to get car allowance from my company so do not scrimp when it comes to looking after my cars.
I am sure there is lots more have forgotten to tell you about the car, but if you are in the market for very well maintained beautiful looking "Dame Edna" Saab 9-5 Aero, then you would do well to come and have look at mine. After 26 years of Saab's, need to get my next Chariot elsewhere. It will be sad day for me to see this lovely example drive away.
Private Plate is now off the car. The registration is now back to the original when new. LB07 LFM.
