1997TOYOTA MR2 MK2 BAR REV 4, 2.0 N/ALike all well serviced Toyota MR2’s this car drivesbrilliantly. The gearbox is smooth, brakes are excellent and the road holdingis superb. The engine is very strong, does not burn oil and ticks over quietly.All the electrics such as pop up headlamps etc work fine. It has the sought after BAR roof model with two glass roofpanels that can be removed. Each glass panel can then be stored behind the frontseats. have the original covers for the glass roof panels when they need tobe stored. also have the interior ‘winter’ covers which cover the glass roof internallywhen in place to keep the heat in the car and prevent any condensation duringcolder weather. The roof does not leak and the boot area does not let in water. The engine has been fitted with genuine K&N inductionkit which allows the engine to pick up better but more importantly also givesan addictive induction noise under acceleration without being too intrusive.This filter has been regularly cleaned and oiled to ensure it is protecting theengine. also have the completeoriginal airbox which will be included with the car so the new owner can refitit to the car if they want.The interior leather has aged really well, have regularly treatedit with ‘leather food’. The leather seats are as you would expect for 24-year-oldcar. The seat bolsters are not ripped or torn. The following workhas been carried out in my ownership of the car: MOT – valid until 15thDecember 2021 with noadvisories. Complete ‘waxoyl’ treatment on the underside and sills to preventany corrosion on the car. Two new sills were fitted to the car for the MOTimmediately before purchased the car and have sprayed both new sills andfront/rear door pillars internally with Waxoyl. All the underside of the car isprotected with underseal and Waxoyl. The highly regarded MOT tester who looksafter all the cars in my family advised there is no rust or corrosion on thevehicle and it is the best one he has seen. new CAT has been fitted as these are weak point for emissions,so this is no longer concern for the new owner. New windscreen wipersNew front ball joint and suspension strut as these were wornand needed replacing. Receipts for all this work are included in the documents. have fitted new Pioneer single DIN stereo unit withBluetooth and Spotify connection so you can play music like modern car setup, the radio works as it should. The original head unit will be included inthe sale of the car. have purchased and fitted the car with full set of fourimmaculate, original Toyota style spoke 15’’ wheels. The silver wheels are theperfect match for the metallic blue bodywork and they are in excellentcondition with no flaking, kerbing, scratches and the tyres have plenty oftread. The original Toyota grey plastic history folder is includedwith the car and contains great service log/booklet and many receipts forservicing, parts etc. Included are Toyota original warranty forms and vehicleorder form. Car was in dry storage by the previous owner in 2015 (docs to provein folder).
