Up for Auction is my Son's first car.
We bought it from the first owner and it was very original car with its delivery books and service history.  It had been standing for while and was looking bit rough, but we were looking for solid project.
THE GOODOriginal paint;We fitted an un-cracked dashboard;We fitted an original BBS front spoiler;We fitted new carpets;We fitted better, original type interior;We fitted new battery;The car was delivered with factory Aircon works, but fan is noisy;We found the head gasket to be blown, so we reconditioned the cylinder head and fitted new gaskets and seals reputable engineering shop;Bosch agents serviced the Injection system and re-calibrated the injectors;We serviced the half shafts, repacked the CV joints and fitted new CV boots;We fitted new gear-link bushes;We fitted new Sony head unit and rear speakers;All glass is good and no cracks or chips in windscreen;No rust in floors, sills or bodywork;FACTORY SPEED MANUAL!We did as much as possible to ensure the car would be reliable and good runner for my 18 year old son.
THE BADPaint is worn thin in few areas;Small repair with incorrect paint under left rear tail light;Leaking boot seal resulted in rust in the boot floor common E21 issue;My son recently tried to roll-start the car (flat battery) backwards and took out the post box bent the door backwards in the process.  Driver door needs to be replaced Pillar looks fine door opens enough to get in;Tyres are old and need to be replaced;Electrical fault with the clock drains the battery;
This is solid original car and with few minor repairs could be usable daily driver.
They are becoming quite rare now, so refresh or restoration would turn this into future classic.
We spared no expense in the work undertaken and have sunk almost $6k into the car with no intention of selling at the time.
Plans have changed Son is an apprentice Tradie and has bought ute.  He's not into cars or classics, so this was unfortunately all lost on him.  Rego expired last month and we can put months Rego on it for the buyer negotiable depending on final price.  Selling without RWC.
We have set realistic reserve happy bidding and good luck!!
