professionally restored hand drive 1961 T6 356 1600 Hardtop coupe with no expenses spared which include engine out and rebuilt, beed blasted body and painted to very high standard, expected with new car .This 1961 356B Notchback with the uprated 75 HP Super engine was one of only 1048 coupes from Karman. Matching in numbers and originally delivered to Munich as tourist delivery vehicle and then shipped to Melbourne, Australia. This professionally restored example is finished in porsche silver over Fawn leather interior and fresh charcoal carpeting. Carrying original fittings from VDO dash instruments, original Blaupunkt radio, correct deep dish steering wheel, to the chrome crested hub-caps wrapped in Michelin xzx tyres and correct Porsche- Karmann badging.
In 1962 the 356B model received changes known collectively as the T6 modifications, involving the addition of twin engine cover grilles and larger windows. This unique new model briefly appeared variously referred to as the notchback coupe. The 1961 production run was basically cabriolet body with the optional steel cabriolet hardtop welded in place. The body did not begin life as cabriolet as before but was its own design incorporating the cabriolet rear end, the T6 coupe windshield frame and unique hardtop.
1747 Hardtops were produced out of production run of 59316 cars.Part trade considered.
