This 1979 Datsun 1200 Ute has been in the pictured shed for the past 22 years and used to move mowers, pumps, tools and collect fire wood etc around small rural property. It had previously sat in our panel beater neighbour's paddock for couple of years and at that time was fitted with Flexi Glass canopy which is why the back tray is the only part of it in good condition. At the time acquired the ute was driving 1971 model which was fitted with custom made cage and canvas canopy which swapped with the Flexi Glass one. This has still kept the water out on the odd time the ute has been left out of the shed. The 12 inch mags on this ute, which are in poor condition but with good tyres, were also off my 1971 ute. The motor is very good and the oil has been changed every 12 months. The battery was new last year. replaced the wheel cylinders and brake shoes about years ago. The gear shift lever is sloppy but all gears are ok, as is the clutch. Nothing else has been touched as long as I've had it. If you have rust fetish, then this is definitely the 1200 ute for you. There is major rust in every panel and the floor along with multiple dents. The right side front quarter panel is loose at the bottom and it is rusted right through below the lower hinge of the drivers door. (see photo) There are cracks in the windscreen. The original standard rims with the tyres still on them are rusty and included. The property is being sold so the 1200 has to go. The ute is located about 12 minute drive from Wingham NSW or 25 minutes from Taree NSW. Inspection is available next weekend 18,19 and 20 of May. The Gregorys hard covered service book can go with it and think might be able to find the original owners manual but am not 100% sure. Payment via Paypal or cash on pick up.
