Up for sale 1968.5 Code 428 Cobra Jet Coupe.Genuine barn find, ex race car originally campaigned in the "Miss Universe Drag Racing team" in the 1970's by Carol Kile, alongside well known female racers such as Bunny Burkett.Has now been primarily converted back to street trim and is basically complete.There were only 1299 Code Cobra Jets made in 1968 (other than Shelbys), 221 of those were Coupes of which 119 had the C6 automatic.This is one of those cars with the following options:Sunlit Gold, GT Equipment group, C6 automatic, traction lok 4.30 rear, console and power disks.It has an genuine 428 CJ engine with C6 auto in good running order with the original 31 spline 4.30 nodular rear.Now has new drum brakes all round with new master, lines and wheel cylinders.Has new exhaust on it at the moment to quieten it done some, and new rear shocks.It comes with hard to find and expensive spares originally fitted to to car such as, (4) date coded 12 slot wheels, original ram air cleaner assembly and factory 735 Holley Carb.Car has no significant rust other than typical small amount on bottom of doors.It would be an easy restoration project, basically only needing paint to its original colour of Sunlit Gold.
