                           XT Falcon Ute 1968Unfinished project that requires lot of work for those with the skills but lot of work has been carried out to dateCommercials in this era are very desirable and getting harder to find. When finished this ute should turn out very nice driver.The theme of this build was to be stock looking body with few modern goodies to provide nice reliable driver.Starting with rusty farm ute from western NSW it was stripped out and full floor and chassis from 1992 litre auto ford sedanwas fitted along with injected Windsor, BTR speed auto, LS disc brake diff.Full electronic dash has been modified to fit allowing for tilt steering climate control air,vacuum operated vents, cruise control,trip meter etc.Engine bay now houses all the hardware to make the above work. Also ABS module is mounted behind left guard (needs brake lines run).Cross flow radiator, auto oil cooler,air-con receiver dryer and plumbing are mounted. Ford type plastic header tank, fan shroud etc are all in place.Washer bottle is behind right guard. XF ford power steering box is used. Engine is fitted with cast iron exhaust manifolds, cats and single system.Alloy drive shaft is fitted but still requires final welding and balance.No front suspension as photos show but can supply complete ZL Fairlane with all parts for free but must take hole car.It must be clear that all mods fitted are mocked inn at this point for checking of clearances and running cables and looms. It now requires disassembly so as body work can continue, needs full media blast before hair and makeup Some rust repair panel have been fitted with tailgate and door skins remaining asis rear floor to be welded inn but not supplied,Tail lights are mint, grill and headlight surrounds are great, front bumper is crap, windscreen moulds are good, rear bumpers are straight but need chrome.Car can be lowered onto car trailer with help of post hoist.
