Up for auction is rare JSA Clubman. believe it's around an '82 model.
The lineage of these cars can be directly chased back to Lotus cars U.K.
The Steel brothers in N.Z. were licensed by Lotus to build number of cars
modelled on the famous Lotus 7.
Design and development was taken on by David Dixon, some cars were sold in
the U.S. as Dixon Saracens.
The cars went through various transformations, the last being Lotus Mk.4 variant.
50 cars were ordered by James Smith Automotive in Australia and retailed by
Peter Manton Motors in Victoria. JSA got into financial difficulties, the cars were
very expensive compared to Amaroo's and Canstel Clubman's and only 20 were ever produced.
The JSA's were unique, having doors and strengthened front end and chassis to comply with ADR's.
The style is easily identifiable due to the full length guards, doors and bonnet hump. It also has an aluminium fuel tank.

This car was purchased from an elderly chap who has owned it for the last 20 years.
He bought it from deceased estate in Victoria, no previous history is known.
It is fitted with 12A rotary and speed gearbox. Diff is also RX.
It has not been run in 20 years so engine strip and inspection would be in order.
The JSA needs finishing off. Seats need mounting, some wiring, some small under bonnet panels, engine mounts, brakes bled, hoses etc.
Exhaust, slatted grille and calipers are currently off the car but come with it.

My intentions were to use it as period race car but this dothery old pensioner will never get around to it.
Make no mistake the car needs finishing off, but where can you find rare Clubman at an affordable price?  It's an 18K car running and roadworthy.
Start price is the reserve.
I may consider car or motorcycle trade in.
Car is located in Warragul Victoria (around hour from Melbourne via. the Monash Freeway).
Inspection welcomed. may also be able to help with Interstate transport.
Start price is the reserve.

UPDATE: went to VicRoads Warragul today re rego requirements.
Spoke to Katie, who in turn spoke to her manager.
They advise me the car needs only needs RWC and one identifier to register on Club Plates, which can be engine number.
Please satisfy yourself that this information is correct.

Terms: Contact within 24 hours.
Full payment within days unless otherwise arranged.
I can store car if paid for and assist with Interstate transport.
Cheers and good luck!
