2.6L Aston engine conversion Runs on Petrol or Gas7 Seats
I bought this van while back to strip and rebuild to get back on the road and go camping in.I already had 2L van which was massively underpowered so when this came up grabbed it.This having the 2.6L aston has loads of pulling power, was very impressed bringing it back here.
I got as far as taking the drivers wheel off and stripping everything back to the driveshaft ready to paint up and replace all the bushes with nolathane. At this point we had child and all spare time evaporated and realised wasnt going to get round to completing the improvements. have put it back together so it can be driven short distance.
I have four spare wheels and tires which will also throw in.
I ended up buying another unit which dont have to do any work on. The new van is not as good as the potential this one has but such is life.
With some work this will be great little 4x4 again and the various utube videos show how good they are offroad.
To get it on the road again know it will need the following :welding round the tailgateA new tailgate (or welding)New brake lines.New bushes for most thingsA new batteryThis isnt an exhaustive list and will not be held responsible for what needs to be done for roadworthy.
Engine is strong and runs on both petrol and gas well. Gas tank is virtually empty.
I would recommend trailer for pickup, it will drive onto one easy.
Location for pickup is near Belgrave, east of Melbourne, Vic.
