1986 Harley-Davidson FLHTC 1340 Electra GIide Classic Touring

LIBERTY LIMITED EDITION, ONLY 748 EVER MADE!!!

"In 1986, Harley-Davidson decided to join the efforts in raising money to help with the restoration of the Statue of Liberty. Harley built only 1,750 Liberty Edition motorcycles which included an Electra Glide Classic, XLH1100 Sportster, and FXRS Low Rider. For every one of these bikes sold, Harley Davidson donated $100 to help with the costs of restoring the iconic American landmark. All of the bikes featured graphics of the Statue of Liberty on the gas tank and front fenders. The Electra GlideĀ® Classic Liberty edition was limited to 810 total motorcycles produced, and 62 of the units were equipped with sidecar, bringing the total number of Electra GlideĀ® Classic two wheeled versions to 748."

Those production numbers are consistent with MoCo that was very much smaller back then! There is also graphic on top of the tourpak.

engines in pre 88 evo's are far better than the later models

That model was only available in one colour scheme, black over silver with red lines. Back then Harley only made around 40k bikes year, they make roughly ten times that many now. There were not many colours for any model and that one is special, with pretty well every option as stock. IIRC it has four gauges in the batwing, when only two was normal then

This has many dash guages the fuel guage is perfect the tachometre is perfect the spedo and odometre not currently working, the clock and stereo not working, the amp metre reads true (when bike is running it charges 13 or more amps when running with all lights on its just under 12 amps, so as long as riding is shared with lights and no lights the battery charges just fine, if driving for long distances with headlight on it will suck energy out of battery

Its good honest bike

I purchased this bike just outside San Bernadino, California in 2015 from Local who had owned the bike long time. He always had the bike garaged and put very little miles on it as you can see from the overall condition.

I then rode the bike back to LA through the desert without an issue.

Ive now had the bike in Australia since the start of the year and have just registered it in NSW with 12 months rego.

I need to make room for my 1950 Panhead that will be arriving from the states in couple of months that will be sinikng my wallet into.

THis is super comfortable appreciating CLassic! evolution (early evo motors have very good reputation for reliability) Harley.

Perfect for club registration or use the NSW rego to do some long road trips with the missus.

YOU WONT BE DISSAPOINTED! THE PHOTOS DONT DO IT JUSTICE! THE ENTIRE BIKE IS TRUELY AWESOME

Comments and questions to the seller:

Hey this is an odd question, my boyfriend has a bike just like this and he is looking for what the liberty sticker on the tour pack. Is your sticker still in mint condition? If so, could you possibly send a photo to me?
