1988 Monoshock BMW R65 Cafe Racer.
Full restoration including;
- Vonzeti custom subframe with seat (thicker tube than standard to match original frame), frenched tail light and diamond stitched leather seat from the UK. (6 month wait to receive!)- Vonzeti filler cap- Pac sprayed wheels- Pod filters - Toaster Tan top bracket - Boxer Metal choke pulls, airbag cover, and various stainless pieces from the USA- Drag style bars- Custom indicators and tail light- Aftermarket mufflers which showcase the unique BMW boxer engine sound- Pristine custom paintwork by Collideascope taking inspiration from vintage sunburst BMWs on tank, seat, headlight bucket in white with metal flake and yellow pearl overlay to give the vintage look. Brown inserts in BMW Marrakesh brown with transparent black fade on edges. No expense spared, rides and handles great for someone wanting classic BMW with the cafe racer style. No mechanical issues. It is plate legal at 650cc. Has approx 10hp less than an R80 so still has enough for an experienced rider. It has done the ton (100 mph). Selling as it isn't ridden much anymore other than to keep the battery charged and we need to reduce expenses on vehicles as we currently have bikes and cars to keep registered/insured. Won trophies at its first (and only) show including top paint, top euro bike, top sports bike.
Well over five figures in parts and labour receipts plus the cost of the bike. Regrettable sale. If it doesn't go it may be retired to the lounge room!
