So, that was "back then", what are the options for this bike today? Well, just the same...plus the option of restoration and putting her into "collection" (I guess this the same as putting great race horse 'out to pasture' and would be bit of shame as it really is terrific race bike). The race options include Classic track and open or "MX" track (she would be outstanding fun and very competative in both of these events, this model has as standard front brake and 'backs in' like demon, you could successfully argue she is "slider" to get more rides). For Vintage MX: the M90 was Mk Pursang derived so change the tyres and have ball with that extra punchy motor; or do as has been done before: change the front wheel and sprockets and go road racing with the Historics...the M90 has that fantastic gear box with the identical ratios as the Bultaco TSS.
Ok, for these options what does she need? For collection of race bikes: change or repair the head as she has broken fins on the left side of the head from transportation accident. For show restoration: change the head, paint the tank, smarten up the guards. To go racing: change the tyres as they are now too old; shout her new set of rings; put new foam sock over the air filter; grind the edges off the broken fins, fit new front number plate, put fuel in the tank and go racing...she is THAT good.
The tank has faded paint but is totally free of that fiberglass bubbling that many Bullies are plagued by. The seat is perfect and needs no attention. Steering head/wheel/swing arm bearings are fine. Frame, chamber, muffler, levers, cables and swing arm are all terrific and race or resto standard. The handlebars are my top favourates being great width and bend and allow you to get your body into just the correct position to maintain good control during slide.
So why am selling it if it is that good? have recently moved interstate to Victoria (Gippsland) and needed 40' shipping container to move my bikes and parts! I'm now 60 and need to reduce the collection. This is my most reluctant sale and have put this add back into 'drafts' three time before posting it. The bikes have been moved into the farm shed from the container BUT the result of that is work on the tractor outside! In Victoria in winter...
I will be driving ute from Gippsland to northern NSW at the end of the month and happy to meet along the way if she has been paid for. Also, the add reads "local pick-up only" this is standard ebay default when the add has no postage option: I'm happy to work with you or your courier. Some mates know putting her up for sale so reserve the right to withdraw her from auction.Cheers and thanks for looking at this add.
