                                                 HARLEY DAVIDSON 42 WLA                                              SELLING FROM PRIVATE MUSEUM     
Restored by renowned motorcyle restorer Mick Hobson in 2000. Bike has done only 800 metres, yes...800 metres test ride after restoration, and stored since. It has had periodic start up and kick over since to keep things lubed. The tyres are still as new and supple. The seat is done in pigskin and is in great condition. The rims have stainless spokes. The engine has matching number crankcases, 20 thou overbore and correctly annealed head gaskets.
The speedo shows 672 miles prior to restoration, though actual mileage is unknown. 
There is modern air filter fitted to keep things clean. (The original type is readily available.)
The Harley has some patina on the oil and fuel caps plus few spots that don't detract from its overall appeal.
Please note that this is 1942 military bike that could be painted olive drab, if one would want that, but the preference at the time was to follow civilian theme that enabled the bike to be used, shown and enjoyed.
