Up for auction with very low reserve and 99c start is 1967 HarleyDavidson XLH 900CC Ironhead Sportster. This bike isin great condition for its age you can see that from the photos. It looks greatin the flesh with its matt blue paint with its GT stripe. great start for Bobber,Chopper,Resto or just leave it as itis and ride it.It runs like clock, starts first go nearly everytime and does everything absolutely right. Its no speed machine but it's notslow either. The XLH is meant to be electric start but the starter motor has been removed by someone so it is kick only now. Starter motors are easy to get if you want to out on back on it at some stage. It ridesgreat and handles like an old Sportster. The forks are 2" over think but will supply the original tubes if you want to put it back to stock as well as pair of shockers to get it up to legal height these will be supplied with the bike at sale as part of the deal.Parts are easy to get as well as performance partsif you want to go that way with it. There are small scratches here and there on thebike consistent with its age,but the paint job is almost brand new. Please Don't expecta new or restored bike because it's not! It's an old Harley it leaks a little bit of oil (might need primary gasket)There is bits of surface rust here and there on the bike and on the spokes (not too bad) have good look at the photos as they form part of the description.Once again-Please check the photos as they form part of thedescription.The tank is undented recently painted and original HD it looks great, the seat doesn't fit that well and may need changing or modifying once again eBay has tons of cheap stuff for these and so do local dealers.You can see in the photos it doesn't fit that great. The tyres are worn and dontthink they will pass roadworthy.You can see the tyres are worn in the photos don't ask me what it needs for roadworthy as wouldn't know as all those mechanics look for different things. It will need bit of fixing and fiddling with to get it up to 100% Here are some details:Single Disc front end, think the caliper is off Honda Goldwing.The forks are the later Sportster 35mm type set up as stock narrow glide. The front brake works ok but could be better.Frame is stock and not raked etc.Bendix Carb all jetted up correctly. S&S type air cleaner set up.The bike is located in the Eastern Suburbs ofMelbourneSold with no Reg or RWC But the bike has been registered before in QLD so there will be no problems getting it registered again. It has single seat compliance plate from Queensland dated 1997 so its been in Australia for while. It can be red plated or fully registered.It will be sold as is,no returns once you ownit,it's yours. So have good look at the pics or come over to see it.Bidding starts at 99cents and there is lowreserve, if you want it please bid on it. Dont bid if you arent going to buyit that's waste of everyone's time. The only way to find the reserve is to bid on it! I won’t sell it before end of auction or doswaps for it. It's an Auction!
