HiHere have great Suzuki DR250R.  Essentially identical to the later model DRZ250 but this one has metal tank where as the DRZ's have plastic tank. These are very solid, robust and reliable road/trail bike with good looks to match. Great in the bush, plus comfortable enough for short road runs or as cheap commuter. This one is 1997 model featuring electric start and powerful valve motor producing 29hp (way more than the earlier valve DR's which only produced 17hp). It is an overall very tidy looking bike but does have some scratches, abrasions etc. as you would expect with bike of this style and age. It has brand new pirelli tyres, near new battery, new hand grips and bark busters. It starts easily, runs nicely and rides very well. It does blow some smoke though, particularly at higher revs and therefore needs top end rebuild or perhaps just new rings at some point in the near future. Bike is still super powerful (worn rings are not affecting that side of things at this point) All the lights, blinkers etc work properly but the speedo does not work, however, the odometer still counts the kilometres. It is currently showing around 15000km. This bike would be great for someone who wants to get cheap registered bike and get out into the bush for not much outlay. If you are handy or want an easy project and can put in set of rings yourself, it will not cost much at all and you will have yourself reliable, bulletproof machine. The reserve price reflects the fact that these repairs are needed. Please only bid if youintend to complete the purchase. Time wasters not tolerated. If you have feedbackscore of less than 10, contact me before you bid or will delete your bid. Forget about making stupid offers....You will only be wasting your own time and effort. If you want the bike you will have to be the top bidder at the end of the auction. am only sellingthis bike as need the funds for other things at present. If you pay via paypal, you can pay the fees.
