have reduced the price again for what is great bike. One of these sold this month for $12,000 fully restored. Spend $1000 on this and you will end up with very nice example.

Original and very complete condition with expected patina, the iconic triple GT550 two stroke is cult classic motorcycle. The GT550 is one of the hardest bikes to find in Australia and this is an original Australian delivered bike, (not U.S import) with Australian specs (the U.S ones had different jetting to the carbs). Has the Km/h speedo backing this up and even still has the two holes for the front number plate bracket unique to Australia.
This bike has been partially restored before and the frame was professionally powdercoated in the correct black so if the chrome and few other things were done this bike would be an excellent example without huge cost. Or drive it like it is.

This bike is pre-compliance so does not need compliance plate and can be registered in any state either fully or club historic. These bikes had reputation of taking on almost anything else on the road including much larger superbikes.

You could put some new tyres on this and either restore it or ride it like it is. The carburetors have just been rebuilt with new kits and NOS rubber boots (which cost fortune). The tank and side covers were resprayed by previous owner and have finished them with correct decals for this model ($96) under clear coat. Correct Suzuki cast metal logos on tank impossible to find if missing. The same goes for the side covers. The decals are the correct ones for the 1974 model and the colour is correct being Candy Turquoise/Hawaii Green (Suzuki paint code 215) which is striking on this bike.

I have rebuilt the front brake caliper and master cylinder but have not got around to bleeding it yet. There is the correct front brake sensor cable not fitted yet. Most of the electrics work including the rear brake light switch. Replaced the tank tap rubber seal with NOS one. Seat cover could do recovering correct pattern available from the U.K.

The bike has not been run however have started it with Start you Bastard and there is great compression. Starter motor turns as long as you have fully charged battery. It's up to the new owner to get it running as have other projects on the go. believe the km's at 55K is correct.

One unusual factor adding large value is that the bike has the correct original four muffler stainless exhausts with no holes in them (but expected dings and patina). Apart from some surface patina, no significant rust. This is what makes this bike stand out even from the fully restored one for sale (currently over 12K as we speak) as the pipes are impossible to find in Australia. Imagine Honda CB750 KO or K1 without it's iconic four exhausts, well it's the same with the GT550, doesn't look right without them. This bike is $3500 less than the other one for sale so plenty of leeway for concours bike restoration should you want to restore this one as it already has recent powder coated frame. Rims are not rusty so would not need rechroming which is major expense. All it would need is rezinced spokes.

Bike comes with original numbered Suzuki key which fits all three locks (seat/helmet latch, ignition and steering lock) and the correct reproduction operators manual for the model. will ship anywhere at your cost and your transport arrangements. Sold as is second hand used without warranty. Read the description and see the pictures as that is what you are buying. Does not come with the number plate.
Please don't use Paypal to pay for it. Cash or bank deposit.
