This 1983 RM80 has had fairly major restoration. The frame has been striped down to bare metal and repainted with kill rust paint. Please see the photos.

Some of the work conducted includes dismantling the engine and replacing all gaskets, new water pump impeller, cylinder honed, ports polished, replaced spokes, wheel bearings, swing arm bearings, sprockets, chain, rollers, chain guides, new tyres tubes liners and rim locks, new seat cover, new number plates, rear fender, radiator shroud, cables, grips, kill switch, levers and stickers.

The tank stickers have developed some bubbles. Please bear this in mind if you are bidding or buying. bought the stickers from seller on eBay. cleaned the tank thoroughly with rubbing alcohol before applying the stickers, but they have still bubbled for some reason. Hydrocarbon infusion perhaps. Someone more knowledgeable than me may be able to explain.

It starts and runs well, and the gearbox shifts well. Looks very good with the new paint, spokes and plastic parts.

Please note: the forks function fine and do not leak, but they have not been rebuilt. Same with the rear shock, functions well, but has not been rebuilt. Rear shocks are difficult to find. This may be an issue if the new owner intends on VMX competition.

It's currently in my living room as an ornament, next to the television, but it has to go.

Keep it as trophy/memorabilia or rebuild suspension for VMX.

The bike can be delivered safely and damage free in an enclosed trailer.
