In great condition. Nothing to spend. Just club rego/or full rego.

One of the earliest examples of the first generation which was introduced in 1980. Has matching numbers. Check out Wikipedia 'Yamaha XT250'

I bought this motorcycle in 2003 and the mileage is genuine @15xxxkm.

In Dec 2015 got roadworthy Cert., and finally registered it with historic club plates with dual purpose obviously road legal tyres. It has exceptionally low mileage, but was serviced every December for the past 13 years. 

Easy to maintain. Low tech mechanicals.

Everything works as it should. Tank and side panels have been repainted professionally refinished and after market decals fitted. 

In Dec 2015 the following were replaced -
(Done under 400km since restoration)1)New Front and rear tyres (old knobbies available by seperate negotiation about 60% tread left)
2)Brake shoes/wheel bearings/dust seals
3) headlight switch
4) kill switch
5) horn
6) All blinkers flasher can
7) Oil filter, engine oil, spark plug, battery, all globes, rectifier regulator.
7)Front sprocket was replaced with 18T one so at 100km/h it cruises at more reasonable 5,750rpm rather than screaming its head off with the OEM ratio The old OEM sprocket is included in this sale. It is now much more highway friendly for club rides etc. 

The muffler and chain guard has been re-made by previous owner and works well.
RH meter lens less has hairline cracks but is still waterproof and works.
mirrors are after market.

Very easy start from cold with choke.
