Running/Driving Original 1951 MERCURY M3 FLATHEAD V-8 PICKUP TRUCK serial PFA83AH51-20078. Amazing find, came from the estate of original owner where it sat in quonset for over 40 years. MERCURY M-3 is the Canadian equivalent of its American counterpart the Ford F-3 but has slightly larger displacement with its flathead V-8. Has new fuel pump and gas tank has been cleaned up. Brakes need work as master cylinder has been reconditioned but wheel brake cylinders are currently seized from sitting. Body is very solid and has excellent cab corners, doors, sills, running boards, etc. There is small crack in the frame at one cab mount one drivers side which has been tack welded but will need proper attention by the new owner. Almost totally rust free except for small areas on upper front fenders, just above the seam which is common to this year and model of pickup and the rear cross piece just under the tailgate. Floorboards are solid and rust free. Box floor is rotted as the picture shows and it has the hoist box option that many prairie trucks from this era have. Tailgate is in near mint condition and by far the nicest original have seen in recent years. Interior is in decent original condition with good seat that will need reupholstering. Windshield and side glass is good but back window is cracked. The tires all hold air and it rolls fine. Truck currently has Canadian title but will be sold with all the paperwork necessary to title it in your home state.
