This 1953 Chevrolet Bel Air door sedan was purchased new from Guest Motors in Hull, Quebec.The car was later driven across Canada to British Columbia and was purchased by our family in the early 1970's. The vehicle was used as daily driver and in the mid 1980's it underwent full engine rebuild and transmission servicing.In 1985 the car was parked in storage garage where it remained for over 30 years.The car is totally dry and has not seen rain since it was put in storage.
Carefully brought back to life in the summer of 2018, the car is now good running example from the past.I drove this car all last summer with no issues.This 66 year old vehicle is in generally solid condition with the expected blemishes of an original example of this vintage. Please consider the "good" and the "bad" as they are indicated below.

The Bad:Interior is original and is in poor condition. Carpets are goneOriginal radiator has been replaced with modern one. (I have the OE radiator)The headlight shrouds are from 1954 Interior (cabin) heater doesn't workRadio turns on but has no soundPowerglide transmission has an ATF leak and shifts not as smoothly as it once didThe car was poorly re-painted (in the original color) in the 1970's and shows surface rust throughoutBody work has been done to the LF fender and also the RR quarter panelGrill and bumper chrome is in poor conditionBody side moldings are dentedThere is rust perforation at the rear of the trunk floor panThere are rust perforations at the bottom of the rear fendersThe rear bumper shroud and the body panel below the trunk lid have rustThere is star shaped rock chip in the windshield that has never got any larger 
I have indicated and shown in the photos the good and the bad to the best of my ability with no intention of hiding any issues that the car may have
This car is good candidate for complete restoration, or just drive it like did as blast from the past
