You are bidding on 1959 Austin Healey 100/6, matchingnumbers car, an extremely original, unmolested, unrestored Healey that hasspent most of it’s life in Newport Beach, California, under one owner from 1960– 2008.   The Healey has been wellmaintained makes for ‘first class’ driver quality car that could bedisplayed for show driven as is on any road trip. Originally black car with red interior according to theHeritage Certificate, the owner did color change installed completenew interior kit sometime in the early 2000’s. new Stayfast convertible top& side curtains were added in 2010.Even though the paint is approx. 15 plus years old it stillpresents its self very well could be left for many years to come. Thereare some areas where the paint is showing its age have attempted totake pics of these areas.  For the mostpart the paint shows extremely well (looks like an expensive paint job whenoriginally done). have had the paint professionally touched–up polishedto bring back that ‘like new appearance’.The engine transmission were apparently rebuilt duringthe original owner’s tenure ship but have no paperwork to prove this. Theengine starts effortlessly, runs smooth, pulls strong, has great oil pressurewhen hot does not burn any oil. The transmission can be up/down shiftedthrough all of the gears with ease the overdrive works. The clutch worksproperly does not slip. There are no over heating problems runsconsistently at around 170 deg. F. when motoring.The brakes clutch hydraulic systems have recently beenrebuilt, the car brakes evenly stops as it should with the drum brakes.All of the dash gauges are in working order as well as thedash courtesy lighting. All lighting systems, including headlamps, turnsignals, brake lights etc. are working.The wiring harness in the car is original to the car &no one has touched or modified the wiring to the best of my knowledge.The Healey is equipped with; electric O/D, heater, Momolitawood steering wheel, adjustable steering column chrome wire wheels.The chassis is solid straight, never in an accident...& it still shows the original undercoating that was applied in the 60’swhen the car was new, still in excellent condition with only few spotspeeling cracked from age. The underside of the car was ‘Waxolyed’ in 2010to preserve seal the undercoating/chassis.The doors open close with ease...a testament to asolid, straight chassis.The Healey is sporting new chrome wire wheels wrapped withnew tubes tires which are the correct size (hard to find) per the factoryHealey specs.The California plate on thecar registration (original to the car when first registered in California) will beincluded with the sale. The Healey also has Newport Beach...Balboa Bay YachtClub Marina windscreen decal rear license plate holder installed by theoriginal owner dating back to the early 60’s.All fluids have been changed in May of this year, thebattery is only years old is kept on battery maintainer.The speedo reads zero miles...I was told that someoneattempted to repair the odometer but were unsuccessful even though the speedoworks as it should the odometer does not. The estimated mileage on the car isapprox 46,000 miles according to the previous owner as he was the one thatattempted to have it fixed when it stopped working on him. have no reason notto believe him judging by the overall condition of the car knowing thatthe Healey was parked from around 2004 to 2008 in climate controlled garageduring this time in California.This Healey is very presentable pretty car thatdraws attention wherever it goes. Given the originality overall solidcondition of this car it makes for rare indeed collectable Healey100/6.
