This will be the last time this vehicle is listed on EbayThisis one of those projects that started with great intentions butnever got around to finishing. purchased 1964 Chevelle, MalibuSS, door hardtop back in the early 90s. It was running car andlooked average for it’s age and use. When tore it apart, Idiscovered mass amounts of rust damage that rendered both the mainbody and frame unusable. purchased 1964 Pontiac Beaumont bodywhich is the same as the Chevelle, except for trim holes andtaillights. The Beaumont body has very good floor but needs the newouter wheel wells installed, also partial quart on the passengerside, full quarter on the drive’s side and the truck pan. havesecured with sheet metal screws full quarter as needed, partialquarter as needed, three piece trunk pan and outer wheel wells. Aswell, retained the Chevelle tail lights that will need to befitting to the Beaumont body. also retained Chevelle trunk lid,and the Chevelle front clip At the rear of the rear inner wheelwells there was some rust which has been removed and patch panelswill need to be fabricated and installed. There is metal there fromthe original Chevelle to help create those patch panels.
Inshort there is most everything needed including title and serialnumber plate to build 1964 Chevelle SS, 327 speed car. Theframe is straight, has 10 bolt posi dif that needs rebuilding asthere is tooth broken out of the crown gear. used the drive shaftfor another project so there is no drive shaft. The gear box is an M20 wide ratio removed from 1965 Corvette but will require arebuild kit. have period correct 327 motor less heads, and theblock was cleaned and inspected and determined reusable The frameis clean and straight and has already been converted to power discbrake set up using 1972 Pontiac parts. There are eleven 1964Chevelle, Impala wheel discs, extra quarter windows, rear glass butwindshield was damaged so removed. Also included is the correct rearG. M. defogger which are becoming more difficult to located. Thereis the correct 64 Chevelle four speed console which are alsodifficult to locate and appear to be fetching large dollars. Thereare the four original bumper guards which were an option item and arealso difficult to locate.There is no shifter or shifter linkage butit is reproduced and the clutch/brake pedal assemble with fire wallmount is there but no actual clutch linkage, which is alsoreproduced. New interior will need to be installed but the doorpanels, front bucket seats and rear bench seat are all there. Theoriginal Chevelle was power steering, power brake set up and thosefeatures remain. The wiring harness has all been removed due tocondition but replacement harnesses are available and most of theoriginal harness is with the parts. Much of the outside trim was inmoderate to poor condition and needs to be refurbished or replaced. The front clip is off the original 64 Chevelle but the rear of thetwo front fenders need patch panels installed. There chevy valvecovers, original barrel air filter housing, correct radio, assemblymanual and much more. The parts alone are worth much more then amwanting for this vehicle. These are great cars coming in at about3200 pounds GVW which makes them great muscle car. They also havecoil springs at all four corners which make them great for bagging.
Ishould mention that am not willing to sell individual parts, but ifyou purchase the vehicle and send carrier for pick up, willassist with loading if required.
