1965Ford F100Custom Pickup VIN: F10DR637303 I’m often asked where we find these nice old rigs.  good friendof mine cruises parking lots of retirement homes,Elks clubs, the V.F.W halls and the back alleys of well-known Scandinavianneighborhood here in Seattle. He can spot aseatbelt slammed in car door mile away… He even notices when vehicle isdriving down the road with turn signal on just little too long and positively twitches with glee when passing car or truck with metalbumpers.  Ifyou’re in the market for fun vintage daily driver, please give this half-tontruck your kind attention.  You’re also welcome to contact me withquestions or to discuss sale before the end of the eBay listing.  Myname is Markand can be reached at 206/914-117 for either calling or text.   Below is breakdown of the door data plateand original owner info:Model:F100 ½ ton PickupEngine:“D” code – 352 Cubic Inch V8Assembly:“R” code – San Jose, CA assembly plantWheelbase:  129 inchPaintColor: “M” code – Wimbledon WhiteBody:“B81” code – Custom CabTransmission:“N” code – Syncro manual 4-speedAxle:“A9” code – Locking Dana Spicer differential, 3.54 gearsGVW:5000 lbs.CertifiedNet Horsepower: 172 at 4,000 RPMDistrictSales Office: “74” code – SeattleThisrig sold new on January 18, 1965 at Teague Motor company in Walla Walla,Washington to Richard Lake of Seattle.  The maintenance book and original owner's manual we received shows Mr. lake drove thetruck through at least 2003.  That’s48 years with the same owner (and he kept meticulous records, every jot and tittle)!

CONDITION:

Several weeksago call came in from Seattle film production company.  They’d used this pickup in recent video andwanted it off the books and out of their storage area.  quickly obliged, loaded it on one of ourtrailers and brought it to my Auburn, WA warehouse (if you follow our Ebayauctions you know I’ve got real soft spot for old pickups).  Truly, it’s nice, vintage rig!  take great pride in the vehicles we selland feel that you should know as much about them as possible. Accordingly, here is list of the good and also small things possibly needingattention: “Derelicting” an old vehicle isbecoming quite common.  think itstarted with the first gen VW Beetle crowd and has now spread to many otherolder vehicle types.  Basically, theentire body was scuffed and clear coated to seal in the existing flaws and keepit looking this vintage for many more years. Very, Very cool!  Stand 20 feetaway, and you’d think it’s just another ol’ truck, but come closer and it’samazing how shiny it is!  new carburetor was recently added to the stock 352 engine and it's toppedwith the original old-school oil bath air cleaner.  My tech installed new distributorcap, rotor, spark plugs and plug wires.  It seems the ignition timing has been an issue (seeing as how he no longer owns timinglight), so I’d suggest converting over to modern electronic ignition, thus doingaway with difficult-to-adjust distributor points, to make the rig run correctlybefore driving it much.Thegranny-gear low four-speed manual transmission shifts well and has strongclutch.  No power steering here, but Ihaven’t missed it!  The brakes arestrong, even bit touchy, and tend to pull just bit.  The old-schoolsteel wheels add to the vintage look and are straight and true.  The tires are nearly new and have excellent tread.Take another look at the interior pics.  Everything's nearly stock withthe exception of the bench seat, which has been reupholstered and is in perfect condition.  The seat springs are also in excellent shape, soyou’ll be able to sit comfortably for hours. The driver’s door still has the zippered storage pocket.  I’m impressed withthe condition of the dash gauges.  They seem as clear and bright to me asthe day this rig left the San Jose assembly line back in early 1965 heading to ourSeattle District Sales area.  No doubt; thisF100 Custom will be fun to drive and has years of service yet to render!I always encourage folksto stop by my Auburn Washington warehouse (by appointment) to inspect, driveand make an offer.  Please know that you are purchasing nice truck from respectedEbay Seller.  While we always sellvehicles on an “as-is, where-is” basis, my goal is being sure you’re happy withyour purchase and your dealings with me – with the hope that you’ll be backagain for one of our future auctions. Becauseof the amount of money involved in buying vehicle, require Ebay memberswith feedback history of five or fewer transactions to call or email beforeplacing bid.  If we don’t havethis initial contact, your bid may be cancelled.  The number to talk directly to me, asoutlined above, is 206/914-1173.  Please feel free to call any time during theauction.  My name is MARK. AFew Additional Terms and Conditions:Theentire purchase price is due by cash (in-person only), wire transfer or othercertified funds within seven days of the auction closing.  can accept credit/debit cards but will needto first send an invoice from our card processor and will add the 3.25% feecharged by them to the balance.  Pleaseremember you are bidding to buy, and fully expect the winning bidder tofulfill their Ebay contract!  You’re notbidding to hold or then come inspect and test-drive the truck later -- You’remore than welcome to do this before the auction ends.If you decide to have the F-100 shipped home, thereare numerous vehicle transport companies to choose from.  While deliveryof the truck and company chosen are the responsibility of the BUYER,I ship vehicles regularly and have access to the nationwide Central Dispatchsystem.  can check to see what typicaldelivery costs have been to your area recently and then post transport offerfor the truck at fair price.  Weusually then have shipper lined up within few days.  The buyer pays the transporter COD when theyarrive with the vehicle.  No upfrontdeposit or other hassles.  The truckcan be stored free of charge at my location for up to two weeks after theauction ends assuming full payment has been received.  After that period storage is $20 perday.  This vehicle is being sold as-is,where-is, with no warranty expressed or implied.  All information described above is based onthe observed condition when the listing was placed.  I've done myvery best to accurately describe the Ford and encourage bidders to contact mewith questions before bidding.
