This build began by finding an original 1965 Ford Mustang 2+2 Fastback body which was 100% complete with no patchwork, or rust issues whatsoever. Original sheet metal was taken down to bare metal, the chassis was completely media sand blasted painted.Factory spot welds were completely re-welded throughout, to strengthen the front rear ends. Dynamat sound deadening liners were used throughout the car. Professionally painted in PEPPER GREY (PPG base coat/clear coat) w/ Black stripes. The original front rear bumpers were completely sandblasted and painted to match the car, cool added touch. The hood scoop is and side-mounted air-cooling ducts are 100% functional to help keep the brakes nice and cool. set of running lights were custom installed in the center below the front bumper, headlights were upgraded using Halogen bulbs. This PONY sits on custom 17??? Shelby aluminum wheels tires (245/40/ZR17 up front and 315/35/R17 Extreme DUNLOP Drag Radials on the rear). Beautifully detailed undercarriage w/ all brand new components throughout, including: Total Performance front end, 4-link Total Performance rear end, coil-over shocks, 4-wheel disc brakes, and large fuel cell w/fuel pump. Open the driver??™s door and you will find beautiful custom black interior with mainly original aesthetics built for comfort, safety, as well as functionality. The heads were machined to accept and handle the cam. Once the engine shop assembled the motor they set up the carburetor tuned the engine. The compression ratio is around 9.5 to 1.
