1968 Triumph TR250 US North Americadelivered in September 1968.Last known owner prior to the current ownerwas an individual in Phoenix Arizona,that Title is dated from November 2001. The purchase includes the British MotorIndustry Heritage Trust Certificate. The current owner acquired the car in July of 2011 and embarked on ½ yearextensive and very detailed frame offrestoration. Close attention to detailand accuracy was given this build with the help of the current owners other lowmileage unrestored, unmolested survivor TR250 being used as reference car. The virtually rust free body was handstripped and media blasted and all sheet metal was repaired and refitted to thetub. Great care was given to insure allpanels and gaps were sharp and straight. A period correct aluminum Surrey back litewith glass window and steel center section was fitted and includes mohaircanvas surrey. All surfaces were than sealed, primed than painted with correctsingle stage Valencia Blue enamel. Alltrim and body rubbers are as new, stainless fender beads are new and properlypainted, all chrome parts have been re-chromed. All system components throughout are new or painstakingly rebuilt, wiper motor, steering column, Heater and blower, and so on. Interior is leather faced seats and woolcarpet from John Skinner in the UK.Wood dash was re-skinned and crash padsreplaced with new. Original steering wheel included along with the Moto-Lita steering wheel currently installed. The engine was dismantled checked forclearances cleaned ,ARP rod and head bolts installed with new gaskets andseals All engine components are standard size, oil pressure (75 cold 30 hot )and compression 160 Psi.). 150 HP cam shaft with new lifters was installed at the time. Car is equipped with the correct A-Typeelectric overdrive. The frame was sand blasted and refinishedwith black frame paint, all suspension components are new or rebuilt. Springsare Richard Good lower and higher ratio to give the car (in my opinion betterstance) adjustable trailing arm brackets were used to correct rear wheelgeometry . New steering rack and upratedfront spindles along with all new front suspension bushings new ball joints andtrunnions.Wheels are reproduction of the dealeroption American Racing Silverstones The redline tires were returned to vendordue to balancing issues and set of 205 65R 15 black wall tires wereinstalled.
