1969 Dodge Charger This is west coast car that is in slightly used condition. On the one hand, it is clean from beingout west, but the other hand, it is damaged by the sea salt on the top.  The frame rails are very nice.  That is what sold me on the car.  Like most cars, it is typical for floor andtrunk replacement.  The quarters arebanged up, so they should be replaced.  Thepictures show that the top sides of the rockers are in great shape; but in onepicture, it shows that the underside of the rocker has rust.  I took many pictures of the frame rails.  They are very clean.  If you know what you are looking at, will this make the build much easier.  The west coast problem is the top side rust.  The bottom of the cowl has rust.  I have clean replacement cowl to replaceit.  The car’s roof has damage and theback window has rust.  The rust around the back window is commonproblem.  went on line and all thepieces are available to rebuild the area.  I have list of parts on the computer.  The inner firewall, fender aprons and core support are in nice shape. There is typical rust under the battery tray.  No swelling on the seams, nor rust on the seams.   I have extra parts that come with the car.  Inside the car, there is two additionalfenders, two doors, there is cowl, another hood, two bucket seats w/leatherand nice matching back seat.  Theframes are in great shape.  There is alsochrome for the door sail moldings.  One totehas tail light parts and the other tote has under the hood parts.  There is also parts in the trunk.  The car has nice set of Magnum 500 wheels with new rubber on them.  The prior owner made cut in the floor for modernhemi.  So, if you wanted to resto-mod the car, you are ok, but if you wanted to gooriginal, it will need torsion bar cross member.  I went on line and identified most of the parts needed tobring the body back to metal.  It costsabout $4,500.  You should also take intoaccount two outer rockers and the torsion bar cross member.  To me, to have rust free charger under $20k that would bea good start.  If you have been looking, many of the chargers share similar characteristics for rust.  So, you would be shopping for one that has hadwork done or you would be investigating the car to see if it was lip stick on apig.  Because of the value, there aremany cars out there that look good, but are not truly solid.  There are too many parts to ship with U-ship.  Therefore, you should think of driving up andpicking it up.  There are parts in thetrunk, there are parts in the body of the car and have extra parts.  A trailer and pick up would hauleverything. Call if you have questions. The car is not for the novice.  Ifyou have to sub the work out, you should be looking at something else.  If you do the work yourself, this car has ‘goodbones’.  Tim 763-245-6507 Central Time Zone $200 Deposit required. Deposits are non refundable. I reserve the right to end the auction early, the car isadvertised locally too.
