You are bidding on 1969 Jaguar E-Type, XKE, Series 2, 2+2 coupe,4.2L, manual shift example that has been stored outdoors under car cover forover 20 years. An original, MatchingNumbers car that received extensivebody repair for rust fresh re-spray in 1993 from its original RegencyRed to black. The interior was completely redone at the same time from beige toblack ...the owner thought the coupe would look stunning in black on blackcombo.  Supporting documentation from theMOT previous owner (Lawyer) confirm that it has been two owner car withthe second owner cosmetically refurbishing it in 1993...the Jag went into longterm storage in 1995 with 57,000 miles on the clock reads as such today. Unfortunately, this Jaguar suffered from our Canadian winters showssignificant rust &  metal repair; onthe rear wheel arches, lower doors, bonnet, floors &  trailing arm mounts.   The underside is soft, the floor pans are rottedthrough (I installed some metal strapping to hold them up for easy transportationof the car). There are no signs of any serious accident damage however, thenose of the Jag was tapped many years ago, the damage can be seen in some ofthe pics.  The doors rear hatchopen open/close as they should the bonnet fits well when positioned onthe car...it is currently not mounted to the car. All of the body panels thatsuffered from extensive rust were repaired in the early nineties however, aftersitting outdoors for such long time the bondo has all flaked off exposing theoriginal metal repair work...in order to prevent any further rusting appliedblack primer to the exposed metal. The exterior chrome trim is all intact in average condition. Allglass is the factory original is in great condition. The XKE has recently been pulled from storage no attempt hasbeen made to start the car. The engine turns freely by hand the engineoil is clean. The transmission shifts easily through all of the gears. The gastank all fuel lines were removed from the car in 2004 as the tank startedto leak...the tank is resting in position but not fixed in place as theprevious owner had intentions of getting the Jag back on the road. At the sametime, the brake/clutch hydraulics were removed along with the pedal box forrefurbishment. All parts that were removed from the car are available gowith the car (see pics for parts removed). The spare wheel well is rusty &has several holes as can be seen in the pics.  Five new tires were installed in 2004 butnever driven on...they are of course dry rotted need to be replaced butdo hold air. The interior is clean for the most part complete veryrespectable showing very little wear to the leather seats (driver side headrest missing), console, rear deck panels carpet....all of this wasreplaced in 1993 seeing very little use before being parked in 1995. The dashpad has lifted, however the fascia is in excellent condition. The door panelswere also replaced when the interior was refurbished but have warped terriblyas it looks as though water got on them at some point. The headliner is theoriginal in excellent condition except for the area above the rearhatch...it looks like an animal clawed at. All dash switch gear and gauges areoriginal and in excellent condition. The factory original wood steering wheelis in good condition with some cracking, the radio is original to the car &a dealer installed option. In addition, the Jag is equipped with very rare‘rear window defog system’ the respective dash switch is in place.  The two under dash panels tray’s are in place andin good condition. The electrical wiring seems to be the factory original however, current state is unknown as the Jag has not been started. This is numbers matching vehicle as verified by the accompanying Jaguar Heritage Certificate. It rolled off the assembly line on April 17, 1969 butdid not get registered until 1970...hence the Ownership/Title year reads: 1970.  This is an excellent opportunity to acquire an original E-Type, at aprice that is still affordable depending on your ‘resources’...can berestored to driver condition or to something much more....while still owning ofone of history’s most important sought after sports cars.   Please feel free to ask asmany questions as you like; more pictures are available beyond what the EBayauction shows.... they may be requested by sending me your personal emailaddress.I have tried to take picturesof all aspects of the car including the underside, however don't have hoistand took them lying underneath. If you want specific pics please feel free toask, will do my best to accommodate.  I amwilling to ship WORLDWIDE will assist with shipping arrangements.Given thatI am located in Canada, some US offshorebuyers may be reluctant to bid given the border crossing and or importationpaperwork required to import the vehicle to their home destination. canassist with providing the buyer with contact information to an internationaltransportation company (specializing in relocating vintage and classic carsworldwide) that can safely and at reasonable cost transport the vehicle. Ihave personally used this company several times and have been extremely pleasedwith the pick-up delivery.ForEuropean buyers, can connect you with logistics company that can transportthe vehicle to European port for somewhere between $1000-$1500, depending onthe port.
