This is #349 in the SuperBee registry and is very well optioned car for aSuperBee.

I have pain-stakenly restored this car over long period of time to get itright.

Every single nut and bolt has been restored, plated, or powder coated.

I built this car to be as OEM correct as possible while also building it todrive and enjoy, so there were some deviations from stock and am sure theMopar fans out there have already picked out few of them.

Body

The car was fairly solid car to begin with but was sitting for very longtime and was missing number of parts which scoured the country for the past5 years to find.

The car was totally disassembled and mounted on rotisserie, blasted insideand out to remove any corrosion, treated with rust inhibitor and sealed withEpoxy sealer.

Then the work began. Anything at all questionable was cut out or removedentirely, and to the original mounting/welding points no patch work was done.

So, if the floor had some pin holes, the entire pan was replaced with fullfactory panels to the original seams. No expense was spared to do this car right.Nothing has been done half way.

The one non-original item added was set of weld-in frame connectors. Thesewere added to give the body more rigidity especially with the freshly warmedover 440 six pack engine, now producing more power than stock. While the bodywas being finalized, welded these in and blended with the original frame tolook like they belonged there and were factory pieces see the photos. Only atrained eye can tell they are not original to the car. These along with thefactory installed torque boxes and supports in all corners make for one verytight body.

The straight body was coated with high build urethane primer, blocked, reprimed and blocked again to get everything laser straight.

Then the entire body, inside and out, bottom and top were pre painted in asingle stage PPG urethane F7 dark green poly metallic. The purpose of apre-paint was to ensure paint was applied in every crevasse to seal everythingin and to provide uniformity to the final color. That paint was wet sanded with1200 on the long flat areas to remove any orange peel before prepping the bodyfor its final stage basecoat/clearcoat paint. Every removable panel was pre-painted off the car, then final assembled and adjusted prior to the final 2stage painting. The clearcoat that was the final step was applied in coats, giving plenty of material to wet sand over and over to get the car as flat anddeep as possible look at the photos, just amazing.

Driveline

The motor is not the original numbers matching engine it was swapped out manyyears ago with another correct 71 440-6 pack engine and it is date codedwithin weeks of the car's assembly. See the photo of the pad showing the G440and HP codes as well as the date of assembly stamping. It is as close to beingthe right motor as you can get without actually having the original motor. Ihad the motor totally rebuilt by Lawrence Racing Engines well-known andlong-established engine building business, with all new internals, the originalcrank was cut and polished, the six pack rods were shot peened, balanced andthe whole rotating assembly balanced. The heads were milled, ported and freshhardened valve seats installed with all new valves and springs matched to thecam.

The six-pack manifold is the correct cast iron OEM Chrysler manifold not anaftermarket replica, with the correct coded 71 carbs on it. One obvious upgradewas the addition of Mopar performance electronic ignition for betterreliability and performance. The original dual point distributor will go withthe car.

The HD 727 transmission is the numbers matched transmission to the motor andwas totally rebuilt by F&J transmissions and the 11 ¾" special sixpack converter rebuilt.

Another upgrade is the installation of an aluminum HD oversized radiator forbetter cooling, made to look like an OEM Mopar radiator and painted black

The original 8.75 sure grip rear has 489-center section with fresh 3.73 gearsand all new seals and green axle bearings.

The original drive shaft was blasted, balanced and sent to be powder coated, then fitted with Moog HD U-joints.

Suspension

Every moving part was replaced and where possible with polygraphite blackbushings. All "solid" parts like the frame, center link, controlarms, spindles and multiple brackets were sent out to be professionally blastedand powder coated for long lasting beauty. The lower control arms which areusually bare steel with cosmolene were powder coated in bare steel color, andprior to coating welded in stiffing plates to appear factory installed. Theshocks are HD hydraulics made to appear like the originals.

As you can see by the fender tag and the pictures, one of my deviations fromstock was replacing the original 11" front drum brakes with power discbrake conversion what can say, like stopping. kept the original parts( Front HD Drum Brakes) which will go with the car.

The torsion bars are Mopar performance bars, again powder coated. also keptthe original bars.

In the rear, the rear axle housing was also powder coated, along with all ofthe spring plates, bolts, and backing plates. Mopar performance rear springswere installed, and again kept the original six pack/hemi staggered springs.

Fresh rear brake shoes and all new hardware was installed on the rear plates.

Every line and cable under the car are stainless steel to last forever.

The fuel Tank is an OEM replacement and is also stainless steel, including thestraps.

Under the car is as nice as the top, made to show but also go, and lastforever.

I tried to use only quality products that at least looked OEM but were madefrom modern materials.

Interior

Prior to painting the interior all epoxy sealed panels were seam sealedproperly and had light coating of sound deadener applied. Then everything waspainted along with the rest of the car, sealing it all in and protectingeverything. Prior to installing all new material, layer of Boom Mat sounddeadener was applied to the entire floor, doors, side panels and roof to make for nice quietinterior.

Thousands of dollars were spent at Legendary Interiors to purchase only qualityrestoration materials.

This included the headliner, package tray, carpet, all seat material, dash pad, door panels. Only the best available correct materials were used.

For radio, since did not have the original, installed an OEM look CustomAutosound 300-watt unit, with Cerwin Vega front and rear speakers in theoriginal positions. NO modifications were made, no cutting at all. The radio ismade to look like an old AM radio and fit in the original space withoutmodification, but when you turn it on, it lights up digital behind the faux amprinted numbers. So, when off it looks like an old am radio, turned on it's amodern powerful am/FM with all bluetooth and add on functionality. The speakersare standard 6x9s in the original mounting spaces under the package tray, andthe fronts are two small 4" speakers in 4x10 adapter, mounted to theunderside of the original center dash speaker hole. It sounds great and looksgreat, turn it on, the antenna goes up and the sound is crisp, clear, whileappearing original.

Exterior

Where possible inside and out, the lighting was replaced with LED bulbs, noteverything, just the main items like the marker, tail and turn signals. SpecialLED flasher relays under the dash were used that look like originals.

You may notice the use of R/T style tail lights they were on the car when Igot it.
I don't know the history and if they were added by someone at some point orwere day item, but since they were there and were in decent shape, keptthem. Besides they look nicer.

The original 1971 headlight door motor and relay was sent out to P&Ginstruments to be rebuilt and work great.

While was looking to install the radio antenna, just didn't like the lookof it up all the time, so installed power antenna that looks lot like theoriginal and used the original antenna bezel to further look original.

Wheels as you can see from the photos, have set of aftermarket 17" 5spoke aluminum rims with HP low sidewall, directional Goodyear tires. have, asyou can see in the photos, the original 14" rally wheels, restored, withnice trim rings and the correct 71 center caps, and BF Goodrich radial TAtires. just did not like how small they looked under such big wheel wells, soI went with modern set of wheels for look and driveability. The rally wheelswill also go with the car. have the original bias ply spare tire and its innice shape, it too will go with the car, but for regular driving put one ofthe rally wheels with newer BFG tire in the trunk as my spare just in case.

As you also see in the photos, the car has both front and rear spoilers. Asshown on the fender tag, the rear spoiler is correct, while the front is not. Ithought adding the front spoiler would only enhance the appearance, so addedit. It is the only body addition not on the fender tag and can of course beremoved.

Garage kept and meticulously maintained

The car is kept in climate-controlled garage and honestly has barely beenused. Unfortunately, my family life is complicated with handicapped childthat requires lot of care, so don't get out much. do however have time towork on cars, which keeps me within feet of the house. just can't disappearfor long and must be nearby, which is one of the primary reasons for puttingthe car up for sale just don't get to use it and we have some loominghealth decisions coming that just make more sense to allow someone else toenjoy the car. know am going to regret this decision but sometimes you justhave to prioritize.

No disappointments -- It looks better in person than the pics

I can't say enough about the time, money, and care that has been put intobuilding this car. She shines deep and is amazing in person the picturesdon't do it justice. The sound of the engine is also amazing can send morepictures and video clips of the car running upon request.

Hagerty Guides Value $78k

According to current NADA and Hagerty guides classic car pricing, the"average" price for an average equipped 440-6 1971 SuperBee is$64,050... and this car is FAR from average. It is likely one of the nicest SixPack SuperBees available on the market today. Excellent is priced at $78k andthese prices do not account for all of the added features and original optionsthis particular car has.

But, to be fair, the motor is date correct but not vin correct, and diddeviate from total OEM correct in few places, which why this is not aconcours car, which is whole different pricing category.

As such, this car is priced very reasonably.

Final Note:

If you have any Questions, please email me

I will try my best to answer any questions and provide any additional picturesor details.

I have tried my best to recall years of work and details to the best of myability. am sure have missed or forgotten something.

That said, these cars are not cheap and are frequently cloned or made to besomething they are not this is not one of them. For example check out Ebay item number:143129290136, and again 143160939756, and again 143212249005 and again 143229674247 This user has listed this car multiple times these examples are the times it actually sold, then afterward the buyer must have discovered the car is clone. Nowhere in the ad does the seller inform the bidders that it is not true Hemi car and it is not even true R/T car. It was base model Charger that was cloned in every way but listed deceptively to make unknowing bidders think they are getting an incredible deal. It is this type of deception that gives the hobby and ebay for that matter bad reputation.
I followed as close to original and to "as-built" by the factory as possible withthe handful of deviations mentioned.I have the original fender tag as you see in the photos and it is on the car, Ido not have build sheet never found one when took the car apart.

I am sure it will be picked apart on the various blogs and message boards, because that's what people do.
That said, it's great car and valuable car regardless.
I did recently make an update if you have seen the car in the past or watch the video below When finished the restoration, it had an aftermarket dual diaphragm 8" brake booster and master cylinder that was part of the front disc brake upgrade "kit", the other parts were all Mopar. did not like the quality of the pedal was getting from the booster because it used great deal of vacuum from the engine, an engine which does not make great deal of vacuum because of the lobe separation of the cam. and, the look was just not right. So over this past winter took it all back apart and replaced both the booster and master and all linkage with correct original OEM Mopar parts. Now the quality of the pedal is much better and the look is much closer to being correct for 1971.Some photos show the chrome trim around the drivers side window is missing on the day had taken the pictures had not installed it yet because the original one had small ding on it and had sent it out to professional trim guy to have it removed and polished, it is there and in the video, which was taken the following day you can see it is installed and perfect.
I must make one final mention:

I am not dealer, not car flipper, am not business, did not restorethis car to turn profit anyone that has ever completed restoration ofthis level knows that is just ridiculous. The car was built for me to enjoy -period.

It is my personal vehicle,it is registered and insured and being occasionally driven. But the car is not new, it is used, so therefore it is being sold as-is with nowarranties expressed nor implied.

I hate that part, but have run into some shady people in my life and mustcover myself as well.

I am not desperate for money, so please don't waste my time or yours makinginsulting offers.

If you are serious and have the funds to complete the transaction, then bid ormake me fair offer.I have been buying and selling on Ebay for over 20 years, and have 100% perfect feedback rating on ALL of those over 1200 unique transactions, have tried to my best ability to represent this car as honestly and as accurately as possible. If you have less than (10) good feedback rating, then you need to contact me prior to bidding. Bidding is an intent to purchase it is not game. These ads cost money $95 to be exact. If you have poor feedback rating, history of not following through on transactions or do not contact me prior to bidding if you have less than (10) or better rating, have the right to cancel your bid. It is not fair to me or to other people who are seriously interested to be manipulated by people who open new ebay accounts just to interfere with auctions sad but it has happened to me before. Also: the car is listed locally so reserve the right to end the auction early if it is no longer for sale.Good luck and happy biddingHere is short video of walk around of the car with it running. The video was made just before removed the aftermarket brake booster and master cylinder and replaced it with correct restored and refurbished OEM 1971 Mopar booster and masterhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bUjhxHyCeTAFrom Hagerty:HAGERTY Valuation Tool
