Has been sitting outside under tarp since 1988 and needs complete restoration.
Have not touched the engine yet other than taking out the water pump, AC unit, alternator and take out the plugs to put in some deep creep and diesel. It does need rebuild.
Has not been started since 1988.  Have all the engine parts, Radiators, Genuine GS455 Air cleaner, AC unit is still on there,  Genuine Grill and bumper alone cost me over $700.00
Quarter panels where the chromes go were repaired with fiberglass at one time,
Car is Blue with white top originally.  Very nice combination.
Very rare Original bench front seats, AC, and came with track under dash radio from factory as the original owner had said.
Floor boards look great and cleaned up from underneath.
All the images are here.  Including the Serial number which shows the engine specs and everything you need to know.  Sloan Museum can provide you with original build sheet for $75.00, which at the time included an track player under the dash. If you have shop with all the tools then you won't have any problems with this restoration.
From Hemmings review.
ENGINES
The GS 455 was actually an option to the base GS during the 1971-'72 model years. As the badge hints, the 455 signified the selection of sales code A9. With its 4.31 3.90 bore and stroke, five main bearings, hydraulic lifters and Rochester four-barrel carburetor, it was the same basic big-block that had been introduced in time for the 1970 model year.

DIFFERENTIAL
The final power transfer point was corporate 10-bolt open differential containing an 8.50-inch ring gear and semi-floating axles. As had been the case for some time, engine/transmission selection determined the final drive ratio. For example, base 455/automatic combo resulted in 3.08:1 gear, with 3.42:1 optional. base 455/four-speed came with the same 3.42:1 gear.
TRANSMISSIONS
Both the A9 and A1 engines mandated that GS buyers had choice between the Turbo Hydra-Matic 400 automatic transmission and the floor-shifted four-speed manual. That automatic could have been shifted via column-mounted lever, or through full-length center console. It contained three forward speeds; the ratios were 2.48, 1.48 and 1.00:1, with reverse ratio of 2.08:1.
