The BJ44 was only sold to the Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) and was sporadically imported to Russia, Australia and New Zealand. It has disk brakes on front and full floating rear axle. As for the interior, the BJ44V was the first LandCruiser with rear seat facing forward. Previously the LandCruisers were only equipped with two folding bench seats mounted on the side. this is possible as the Bj44 is longer than the 40 series, and offers more room and smother ride
This BJ44??™s is equipped with 3.2 liter 2B engine, with speed H41 transmission.. The 2B engine is amazingly reliable.  Also very rare is that it come with factory air!. It has all the original seats, floor mats tools ??¦ The rims are not original, but believe everything else is. The rear tire mount was ordered from Australia, and is is not the right fit. It could easily be modified to fit, but did not boar new bolt holes to accommodate it. actually would prefer carrier that mounts on the bumper /rear membrane. They are on number of cruisers and work better.
All rust has been cut out with sheet metal welded in. This was done some time ago, and it has held up very well. There are some very minor areas that could use some attention down the road, but of no concern. The body work is good, outa 10, the paint is good outa 10, the mechanics are awesome outa 10 or better. It travels along at highway speeds no problem, and being diesel has incredible gas milage. Tires are great, but it does not currently have spare.

Basically good cruiser ready to use. It is not museum piece, other wise would be asking considerable amount more. Considering it is 2b Diesel, with low miles, with an amazing frame, great running gear and virtually rust free, believe this to be very good price. It could use some customizing/personalizing, but all that hard work has been done.
It is 30+ year old legend, that will hold its value.
