VEHICLE DESCRIPTION
Ever driven one ofthese S-Class Mercedes with the powerful 4.2 liter V8 engine? What atreat!  Smooth is the word for sure.  Smooth, powerfulacceleration.  Smooth handling in the curves or on the highway, too. Comfort, style, and versatility all in one gorgeous ride.  I’ve alwaysconsidered the W126 chassis cars constructed through the early 90’s as the last hand-built,truly high-quality Mercedes and have heard others say the same thing!  Take look at the photos and I’m sure you’llagree with me.  What you see is the result of wash and vacuumonly.  “Time capsule” is really an accurate way to describe this Benz.  Even the original first-aid kit sits un-opened in it's package shelf bin.  This car has obviously been allowed to spend the majority of its life garaged because theoverall condition is truly better than most any other 30-year-old daily driveryou’re likely to encounter.  Rust?  Please, this Mercedes HATES bodyrust and haven’t found any here to worry about.  Climb over, under and around this sedan, Iknow you’ll come up smiling!!  As arespected online seller with several hundredsatisfied Ebay vintage vehicle buyers, want you to bid with confidence knowing this is great car AND that it's being properly represented.

CONDITION:Inbrief, this is clean, well-cared-for, smoke-freeMercedes.  take pride in the vehiclesI’m able to offer on Ebay, feeling that you should know as much about themas possible before bidding.  Accordingly, here’s list of the good andalso small things possibly to sort out:  Hopin, fire up the powerful engine and it starts immediately!  The automatic transmission shifts crisply through allgears, just as it should.  feel the caridles, runs and drives with immediate strong, steady oilpressure, good battery and properly functioning charging system.  When warm, the engine temperature ismaintained at the 80 mark on the dash gauge, no matter whether it’s been idlingin traffic or plying the freeway for hours. There is NO excessive tailpipe smoke.  One of the great things about this particular model is that there is NO troublesome, leaky hydraulic suspension system installed to worry about (as found on the similar 560SEL version of the W126).  After the car arrived at the warehouse my tech looked it over and found only the rear brake pads needing replacement.  He also heard lifter or cam-tick, but says it doesn’t affect drivability orengine function and will be adjusting it away during the week the car's listed here on Ebay.  I’ve driven this classic boulevard cruiser daily on the ten miles to and from work the past few weeks along with recent 450-mile round trip to Portland, Oregon.Ibelieve the bronze metallic paint is factory original and is inexceptionally nice condition.  It still holdsquite shine!  find NO fading clearcoat or otherbody/paint issues.  The fenders,doors, rear quarters and floor pans are all solid.  You will not find cracks or delamination on any of the glass.  All four chromedwheels are straight and true.  They’re wrapped with 205/65R15 TouringRadials with at least 90-95% remaining tread on the front pair and 30% or so onthe rear set.Takeanother good look at the interior pics as they give very accurate view ofcondition. The light gray leather upholstery is original and, with theexception of tiny wear spot on the driver’s lower left bolster, there is no visibleshrinkage, tears or wear-through spots as you’ll often find on these cars.  Hop in and feel comfortable sitting on thefirm seats for hours.  The dash gauges are as bright and true as the daythe car left the factory.  The push button heater and fan system work andthe A/C has been upgraded to modern R134a system (though think it couldbenefit from recharge).  It’s quiterare to find vintage Benz with factory Becker stereo still working. I’dplan on replacing this one.  The extra-largesunroof could be opened, but I’ve learned from an abundance of care to leavethem alone, so I’ll let the next caretaker determine viability.  There aren’t any visible stains or evidenceof leaks anywhere on the headliner. About the only other issue left to be sorted through is three of the powerwindows are bit sticky and don’t often respond to their window switch.  That’s about it.  Please don’t be upset if I’ve missed minorflaw or small amount ends up needing to be spent fixing something I’m unawareof.  No used car is ever perfect!  Having said that, would not hesitate todrive this Mercedes long distance immediately.Pleasecheck the photos over closely and call me with any questions BEFORE you place abid!  Because of the amount of moneyinvolved with vehicle purchase, we reserve the right to cancel your bid ifyou have any negative feedback.  also askthat potential bidders with feedback rating of ten or fewer transactions on Ebay contactme before placing bid.  Finally, we reserve the right to end the listing early if the Mercedes is no longer for sale or an acceptable offer hasbeen agreed to before the end of the auction period.  Please feel free to contact me directly thru Ebay’s system or, asoutlined above, call or text me at 206/914-1173anytime.  My name is MARK.
