It is time...

It is time to let our adventure van go. :(

This 2003 Volkswagen Eurovan is the Westfalia Edition.
It only has 137,000 miles and many many more to go.

This Van gets attention everywhere, and it makes every drive like mini-vacation.
These Eurovans have so much space inside and not only are they good for sleeping up to adults but also for transporting bulky goods. With only one trip we helped our friend move from LA to Las Vegas.
We took couple of trips to From LA to The S.F. Bay Area and these were wonderful! We now live here :)
Oh, and it makes great mobile office with an integrated table!

The Van has had major transmission rebuilding service in Aug 2018 with 2-year warranty. Among new spark plugs and valve cover seal. It has been in great maintenance plan. We are the second owners.
A recent trip to my mechanic gave this adventure van clean bill of health. few sensors were replaced to improve responsiveness and gas efficiency.


The good:
-Low Miles
-AC Working
-No oil/fluid leaks
-Pop top sleeper in great shape
-Maintained well over the years
-Rebuilt Transmission ($5,500) in August 2018
-The engine is in great shape
-Valve cover gaskets replaced 2018
-New Serpentine Belt
-Clean inside

The sad:

-The previous (original) owner was not the best driver and unfortunately scraped both lateral sides and small dings here and there.

-Air heater not working. (My mechanic quoted me about $400-$500, but never needed it with our sleeping bags and bon fires in the outdoors)
-A few armrests need to be repaired.
