1955 Thunderbird rescued from over 30 years in dry concrete garage. The car was up on blocks and covered. The piecrust style bias ply tires are as good as the day they were installed. The owner had planned on restoring the car in the eighties. He had new quarter panels installed and rear frame rails. The rest of the body was repaired using metal and some filler. The original 292 V8 and automatic trans were rebuilt according to the owner. The bumpers appear to have been rechromed and all of the stainless is in good shape. The hood scoop and rear tail light assembly shows some pitting. The seats and door panels are in very good shape as is all of the glass including the hardtop. There are no cracks chips or delamination on any of it. The engine runs but off of an external fuel can. All of the rubber bushings and brakes will need replacing. The TBird is still the original volt system and has new battery. have tried to describe the car as best as can if you have any questions please ask before bidding on it.
