In Nutshell:This car is honestly the best example of this model I've ever seen anywhere in the world. its an extremely rare car for being completely stock/unmolested and in near-new condition everything works as new (including electrical), which is difficult to find in these cars.
It is perfect example of how amazing this model was when it was new and this car is an absolute dream to drive it handles corners impeccably, accelerates, stops and puts smile on your face in dizzyingly pleasurable manner.
About the model:Pure and simple this is one of the most powerful and elegant cars ever made.
The 928 was designed to capture the essence of what Porsche stood for and essentially replace the 911 as their flagship model. For many years the 928 was in fact to expensive to produce for the company with hand stitched leather throughout the interior and every detail of the car so perfectly executed.
If you are unfamiliar with the 928 as model and the s4 particularly, you can do tons of research online and I'll just note that this truly is supercar yet is extremely luxurious for its age, in fact, few high end cars compare with the minimally modern dash layout (with digital trip computer and led console/display) and electronics even today. Personally, have yet to find comfier driver's seat (plus the back seats are great too not too much headroom though.)
*Production of the 928s4 model was actually stopped in 1991 making this car one of the last ones to roll off the production line.
The Car's History:I was lucky enough to spend the past couple of years driving this car in the summers here in Toronto Canada. I bought it from Porsche collector who restores 911s he owned this 928s4 for just few months and in that time added the turbo twist rims and new brakes then ran out of things to tinker with because this car is perfect. Before him, physician used the car daily to get to and from her job at hospital during spring and summer months since she drove it off the Pffaf lot in 1989 brand new.
NOTE: Though it has turbo twist rim, the rear spoiler removed and new Alpine mechless (bluetooth) stereo, am selling it with the original Blaupunkt stereo cassette unit, rear spoiler, rubber mats and original rims included.
Work done:The car has been dealer serviced since it was first bought in 1989 and for the past couple of years I've taken it to Mantis Automotive (Porsche specialists in Oakville Ontario who have professionally raced their own Porsche's for years.)
Why am selling:My wife and have another car, walk to work (or bike during the summer) and we rarely even drive on the highway! So, feel bad having this amazing car sitting around waiting to be driven.
This fantastic 928s4 is waiting for an owner who will cherish it as do but also take it out to the track or on long drives its one of the best Grand Touring cars of all-time.
Problems?There are perhaps tiny spots of rust I've noticed but these are easy to fix up, and there are minor scratches on the driver's side seat.
