HISTORIC1980 ROLLS ROYCE SILVER WRAITH II 4-door saloon left hand driveCAR SPECIFICSSilverWraith II 4-door saloon. North America left hand drive. A very raremodel of Silver Wraith II. Manufactured in mid-December, 1980 in Crewe,Cheshire, England. The lowest chassis number on the entire production of theRolls Royce Silver Wraith II model was 30083 (January, 1977). The highestchassis number produced was 41648 (late December, 1980). The V.I.N. on thiscar is LRL-41641. This number indicates that of the 2,132 (or so) motorcarsproduced of this model by Rolls Royce during this period, only SEVEN additionalSilver Wraith II's were manufactured AFTER this car, making this is one of thevery last of it’s kind ever built. As result, the car incorporates all of thesmall design improvements developed by Rolls Royce up to this period, and priorto the discontinuation of this model up to the end of 1980. This car truly is“the best of the last”!Extended wheelbase versionof the popular Silver Shadow II. Car length: 207.5” (17’ 3”). Width 71”.Height: 59.75” (4’ 11 ¾”). Wheelbase: 124” (10’ 4”). The Silver Wraith IIwas considered the top-of-the-line for Rolls-Royce during this time. Exterior color isporcelain white with Blue piping along chrome strip. Insidedoor sills and jams are clean and tidy, and have been retouched by owner. Backseating area is 4” longer than the non-long wheel based model, providing anoticeable increase in rear passenger space and comfort. Used by current owneras bridal and wedding car the last seasons. Stored in heated climatecontrolled all brick facility with full concrete floor, (with carcovered whennot in use). Freed from the perils of harsh weather and snow. Undercarriage is very clean! Seems to have been well maintained and serviced byowners (3). Owner #1 was from Texas. Owner #2 from Florida. Owner #3 is seller.Wraith II comes with its original jack, and owner’s operating manual. This Wraith has arich and complementary Navy blue leather interior. Light ‘amber’ burled walnutwood paneling are original and have never been redone, and displaysa lovely grain throughout. The wood presents nicely on the back doors, andlooks like new. Front diver side door has part of the veneer on far right sidebroken off (though we have the pieces). Front passenger door wood has smallcrack on left side, otherwise great condition. We do not, however, think itwarrants redoing but this is subjective.EXTERIOR: White Everflex vinyl top (exclusive to Silver WraithII’s), presents well but with some age blemishes across the top of the frontwindscreen, and roof blemish. Withhand-painted fine lines to the waist-rails finished in contrasting Blue tomatch car interior color. All glass, chrome and bright work are excellent.Mid-tinted windows all round giving her very formal look. Small rear ‘operawindow’, and Corniche wheel covers. All lights, instruments,features and functions are in working order, withall bulbs and lamps replaced and operating as they should. Powerantenna and interior clock not in working order (wiring for both needschecking). The body is straight and the paint is shiny and lustrous (as you cansee from the attached pictures). Overall shiny and crisp and presents verynicely, certainly well above average for motorcar closing in on 40 years ofage! To best of seller’s knowledge, this car was never winter driven, so nosalt corrosion. Rack-and-Pinion power steering. Disk brakes. Brake pumps,accumulators, valves calipers and pads have been fully inspected. Brakehoses lines have been replaced with new on back wheels, system pressuretested and bled. The whitewall Tempa Esquire AS 75-R15 radial tyres are invery good condition with plenty of tread. Shiny, aluminum hub caps are same as used on Corniche, and are excellent with no dents orimperfections. The “slow window” syndrome, typical of the model have beenrepaired with new chains on left side, with window motors cleaned and oiled.INTERIOR: The leather seating is in excellent condition without anynotable marks or blemishes or tears. Finished in Wedgewood Blue throughout, includingcarpets and over rugs. The original dash is very good but with top sun damage,now covered with matching Navy blue dash cover to prevent additional erosionfrom sun. The rear window parcel shelf has been replaced and is new. Headlining (mid-beige) is original and in super clean condition with no waterstaining or marks. Ashtrays present in “never used”condition. Non-smoking car. The odometer shows little under20,000 miles (not kilometers), and, although not verifiable with actualpaperwork, it is apparent by the overall condition of the car that it iscommensurate with the car’s condition. During its 37+ year life span, the carwas driven LESS than 45 miles per month! Original Blaupunkt push button radio.Wood interior back window trim normally found on these cars, needs replaced.Power front drivers and passenger seats, windows, door locks all in workingorder. Comeswith original owner’s operating manual included, along with all repair andparts receipts in place on any work commissioned under current owner. ENGINE COMPARTMENT Rearwheel drive. Engine: 6.75 Rolls Royce V-8. 3-speed automatic. Stabilitycontrol, self levelling all-independent suspension. Non-fuel injection (2 SUcarbs). Underthe hood, the presentation has not been precision detailed but simply keptclean and tidy throughout its life. Brake and hydraulicsreservoir has been taken apart, thoroughly cleaned, with fluids replaced withoriginal RR-363 brake fluid. New replaced oil filter. New fuel pump &filter. New die-hard heavy duty commercial battery. Climate control has been fullyinspected (have receipts) with complete A/C unit, compressor and custom madeA/C hoses replaced new, the heater nice and warm, with the upper/lower airconditioning blowing cold. Rolls Royce Ballast resistor unit replaced and isnew. New ignition module and coil. Steering lower ball joints replaced new.Hose clamps replaced. Brake hoses, front sub-frame replaced new. New thermostatand sender coolant temp. Re-built alternator. Radiator taken apart, totallycleaned, flushed, re-positioned with fresh anti-freeze.
