 1918 era Harley Davidson Ness retro.This is an Arlen Ness designed motorcycle styled to resemblea 1918 era motorcycle, however, it has all modern running components.  The engine is 1200cc HD Sportster with speed transmission;  Arlen Ness provided the followingcomponents: chrome-moly light weight frame; cast aluminum gas tank; disk brake calipers and rotors, levers; wheels;rear sprocket and drive belt; Pacho springer front end; fenders; headlamp.  The remaining components were from differentcatalogue suppliers or custom made. Frame is powder coated, paint is byfabricator. It has all street legal components including turn signals.  It is licensed and titled in the state ofWashington.Bike is essentially new with only 200 ??“ 300 miles on itwhich were clocked in the past two years, [actually it has no speedometer, sothis is guess].History: the bike was built starting in 2000 and finishedaround 2003. The objective was to create vintage era bike  style but with modern runningcomponents so it would start and stop and have available parts.  Arlen Ness had created the components needed.Several of Arlen built bikes based on these components have appeared inmagazines.  Arlen provided the partslisted and advise how to build it.  Aboutthe time it was finished we had new baby so sat in my living room for 10 ??“ 11years. In 2012 it was time to let it go, so sold it to serous HD rider for hisfun ride. He took it to local HD dealer for service and safety check and theysaid all was well. So he began to ride it for fun events. He lives on one ofthe islands so he mainly rode it around the island.The new owner entered in in the local Vintage MotorcycleEnthusiast annual meet on Vashon Island and it won the people??™s choice, even thoughit wasn??™t truly vintage bike. It attracts attention wherever it goes. Lastyear he needed to replace his daily rider, an Electro Glide, so bought itback. However, cannot ride it because of two surgeries and am getting tooold. Also am moving so cannot keep it in my living room any longer. Thereforeit is time to sell it.There is NO RESERVE. Note Arlen will build you one for around$35,000, but you can have this for much less. It is essentially new, but thetires are 10+ years old so they should be replaced if doing serious riding.Buyer responsible for pick up and shipping arrangements and costs. cannotdeliver it anywhere.  Asking for $500 depositwithin two days to show you are serious. can hold it for few weeks if fullpayment is received.
