1927Harley Davidson Model Cut Down HarleyDavidson started production of the 1000cc Model way back in the mid 1900'sand ended it in 1929 with the highly successful and sought after twin cam,model JDH.  Many of these old J's were the very first customs, betterknown as "Bobbers" or "Cut Downs".  They were builtfor street and dirt racing mainly by the returning GI's after WWII whileattempting to "sew their wild oats" when they were back in theStates!  This very cool example of the bygone years has been built froman old original bike sporting the original blue custom paint on the frame andfront forks. The gas tanks and fenders have been "stress painted" tomatch, so the old livery and patina could be preserved. The motor and gear boxhave been completely rebuilt and all wheel bearings and other wear items havebeen restored to new condition.
