clear California title in hand ………...restored and riden about 10yrs ago this bike is broken in with approxamatly 1500 miles ..speedo does not work ...beautifully restored 1940 Indian Chief in our favorite indian color... indian red...from colectors  stand point 1940 is very desirable year as it is the first year of the spring frame and also the fender skirts  their are many one year only items like the tool box  front fender valance  the list goes on and on......bike rides runs and shifts as it should...will consider taking in trade your stalled ridged frame chief  or knucklehead project .bike is listed locally thru other venues 38 chief 55 cad in pics not included in this auction look for them  later   do your research see pics ask questions inspect it …professional resto and paint ...matching numbers ………...Hagerty lists  40 chiefs value in excellent condition at 45 thousand,  #2 at 37 thou #3 at 29K then to 21K  at level....NADA another highly respected appraisal guide has 40 chief coming in at 53,520...this lovely cherry is ripe for new home ….good luck bidding. On Apr-25-19 at 08:50:41 PDT, seller added the following information:battery was few years old ...so installed new one ….{.battery in box set up 235 dollars} its nice but not the same one pictured .
