Up for auction is my 1942 Harley-Davidson WLA. It retains beautiful original patina from its first repaint many years ago. The bike has all original parts with only few re-pop pieces (brake rod, kickstand, battery box, center stand latch, kick start arm, TT exhaust pipe,and Crocker tail light). The engine runs excellent. It starts easily hot or cold. The original magneto has been recently rebuilt. have had the generator professionally rebuilt as well. It has been converted to 12 volts. The voltage regulator/rectifier has been upgraded to solid state circuit board also. This system charges the new lithium ion battery through new cloth wiring making the lights work as they should. The lights do not dim upon acceleration or idle, or after long day of riding. The light switch is functional on the handlebars as well as the engine kill switch.  The fuel shut-off rod alignment procedure has been done so it actually works. All related bungs have been sealed so there are no gas leaks. The rear brake shoes have been replaced so the bike stops well. It could use new shoes on the front. Both the front and rear tires are new. have installed new internal throttle and cable so it is not the “reverse spiral”. The three speed transmission shifts properly through all the gears and the rocker clutch functions as it should. The seat has been moved back and lowered on seat springs to provide comfortable ride along with the N.O.S. heel extensions installed on the floorboards. do have the original pogo and springs.
