This is 1948 Indian Chief that is professionally restored from an original bike with matching engine and frame numbers. Clear Ohio title. No expense spared on this restoration. The only un-original thing on this bike is the custom metallic blue paint that makes it an absolutely beautiful head-turner. Engine was completely rebuilt with new, standard pistons and original cylinders. The transmission was rebuilt with new USA-made bearings and gears. Original features include tanks and rear fender, Nelson muffler, Indian script tires, seat as original, original luggage rack, original air cleaner, Indian spark plugs, original cloth covered wiring harness, original generator and voltage regulator (rebuilt), original carburetor (rebuilt), and all hardware is custom cadmium plated as original. Stainless steel ball-valve fuel shutoffs have been installed for safety purposes. This bike has 14 miles on it and runs like sewing machine. It is perfect buy to have for springtime riding and showing.
We have been restoring Indians for over 20 years. Using this experience, knowledge, and original methods and parts, we are able to restore these Indians to as-original condition. Owning this bike is owning piece of 1940s history.
