1955 BMW R50 first year for the R50 model and first year for the Earles fork with very few imported to the USA.

With recently receiving $3,500 full service from Scottie's Workshop in Santa Clara Ca this motorcycle is road ready!

I acquired this motorcycle couple years ago and its been and absolute pleasure to own and focal point in my collection. The previous owner had this bike fully restored in early 2000's by Blue Moon Cycle in Georgia and rode it under 1400 miles over two summers and then it went into climate control storage (fluids drained) for 10+ year until came along in 2017. used this motorcycle for display item up until December when took it to Scottie's Workshop for full service and some cosmetic love. They did list of things including full mechanical service, new tires/tubes, vapor blast hubs and outer wheels, new spokes, brake linkage parts, wheel bearing service and stainless steel hardware kit for the whole bike. They also replaced one of the carburetors because of damaged threads on one of the jets and of course will include the original carburetor with the motorcycle. have ridden the motorcycle about 100 miles in the last couple weeks after getting it back and it runs and rides amazing!! The buyer will be responsible for shipping but am willing to assist in anyway can including delivering it to shipper in San Jose, San Francisco or possibly as far as LA. Clean and Clear California title in my name and the motorcycle is currently registered. As far as the actual millage of the bike before the restoration don't know as the prevouse owner couldn't remember, the gauge is reading 543xx but have no way of knowing if that's accurate.1955’s don’t come up for sale often (I’ve only seen two on eBay in the last few years) so don’t miss out on this beauty!!!
