Of the countless motorcycles I’ve owned over the last50+ years, this breathtaking ’57 Panhead has been my hands-down favorite of alltime.  Equally at home as daily rideror as show bike nestled in museum collection, it is realistically – and unfortunatelyfor me -- younger and stronger person’s bike and my aging body doesn’t allowme to ride it much anymore as I’ve had to learn to live with modernelectric-start machine for my daily rider these days.I have mostly 1950s and ‘60s British twins in mymotorcycle collection and thus don’t know whole lot about Harleys.  That said, this bike has been raved about byevery Harley specialist who’s ever seen it. With its S&S carburetor, it starts very easily and rides exactly likea “brand new 1957” Harley should!  It’sbeen extremely reliable for me over the years and while it’s handful tooperate with its 62-year old technology, it’s an absolute blast to ride.I have tried to include as many pictures as possibleso the bike will speak for itself here. I know the Harley aficionados reading this will be able to spot non-originalparts like the front fender trim better than can, but have been repeatedly assured it’s numbers-matching bike and original frame. That said, I’m not able to make any guarantee on this front since I’mnot Harley expert and not up to speed with regard to the endless minute detailsassociated with collecting vintage Harleys.Restored about eight years ago, the bike has beenmaintained over the years by certified Harley mechanic who has gone over it witha fine-toothed comb at least once year. It had complete tune-up and two new tires less than 100 miles ago, andleaves an occasional drip of oil in its wake like every perfect old Harleyshould.  It’s never seen raindrop whileunder my care and has been in storage without gasoline since my shouldersurgery last October.Shipping of course is the buyer’s responsibility but Iwill do everything reasonably possible to assist with same.  PayPal deposit of $500 required within 24hours and balance is due via bank wire within seven days.  The saddlebag, extra seat, passenger pegs, never-usedtool kit, and original copy of the September 1956 edition of Harley’s“Enthusiast” magazine announcing the arrival of the new 1957 Hydra Glide areall included in the sale.Hagerty Value in #2 Condition:  $25,000Belly is 57 1195 -- see last photo.
