1970 HarleyDavidson XR 750 Race bike
Time to sell this excellent motorcycle. It will be available to see by appointment In Las Vegas at the auction.
 This Harley Davidson 1970 XR 750 motorcycle is rare anddesirable, race ready motorcycle. There were 200 bikes built by the factory in1970 and 100 were cut up by the factory. This 1970 XR 750 is one of the 100that survived the factory and one of the possibly 60 left in existenceaccording to the literature. This Harley Davidson XR 750 engine was found in abarn find situation many years ago in Southern California. The engine was sentto and completely rebuilt by Carl Patrick well-known race engine builder fortoday’s current champions. The engine was mated with factory rolling chassisprovided by High Speed Motors run by John Steele, the noted 750 XR specialistin the world. (Ohio). Final assembly was completed by shop in So California.This 750 XR is now presented as it would have been purchased from the factory.  This machine has recently been started on adyno and it fired right up! See the video. It is ready to be broken in.Original Goodyear tire was acquired on the rear to complete the build and it isroad worthy. Seller would suggest using modern tires for the break in period topreserve the original rubber currently on the bike. Mileage: Zeromiles on this assembly.Paint: Theframe has been powder coated and the tank is Harley Davidson correct gel coatwith correct colors and correct decals on the tankSheet metal:N/A Factory correct gel coat.Chrome: Newchrome, bright and shiny. Polished aluminum were appropriate.Tires and Rims:400 19 Pirelli tire on the front on polished aluminum rims with polishedstainless spokes. 19 400 Rear tire is the Goodyear Grass hopper (correct forthe time period) mounted on polished Aluminum rim with polished stainlessspokes..Mechanical:This motorcycle has been set up to run vintage racing.
