1974 Harley Davidson FX Supergide

Up for sale is my 1971 FX Superglide. have added an electric start as well as an after market rear fender (pictured). Still have the original "boat tail" fender that came with the bike and all of the hardware needed to mount it. Otherwise, the bike is original. All pics are recent, except those showing the factory fender which are several years old. will try to post some additional pics of original fender shortly which are more recent.
The engine runs great and has never been apart. 29,400 original miles, just about all of which are highway miles. speed transmission, front and rear drum brakes. Original paint on the front fender, gas tank and boat tail. New battery (installed Spring 2017). The front tire needs replacement, otherwise the bike is ready to ride. 
Some things to note:- There is some damage to the paint on the left side of the gas tank. have tried to capture this accurately in the photos. There does not appear to be much rust at the lip of the gas filler opening. had considered repainting on several occasions, but thought it might be better to keep it original. There are also some chips in the paint on the front fender. Again, have tried to show this in the photos. 
- This is the only bike have ever riden that has front drum brakes. In my opinion, they do not work well, but believe that is design characteristic. My mechanic at Custom Cycles says they work as they should. 
- Custom Cycle in Springfield, VA installed both the electric start and rear fender and did fantastic work. My finger points to the starter behind the oil tank in one of the photos. After each job, they supplied me with all of the factory hardware to bring the bike back to original.  
- The front tire is showing cracks on the sides and needs to be replaced. 
HISTORY
This motorcycle belonged to my dad who was the original owner. He bought it new for just few thousand dollars shortly after he returned from Vietnam and put close to 23,000 miles on it before giving it to me several years ago. Most of it's miles were added in the 70's and 80's. For the past 20 years or so it's only been taken out several times year on ideal days for short trips. Regardless, the fluids have always been changed. This past spring, completely cleaned out the oil pan and found no debris at all. It's in good shape considering it's age, my dad took terrific care of it throughout it's life. Always garaged, never left outside and very well maintained. It has sentimental value to me, but honestly, it's just not as comfortable or practical to ride.

I am in no hurry to sell this bike. realize these are classics; if can't find buyer at the price want, I'm happy to let it keep appreciating. This bike is for sale locally in Vienna, VA (no shipping). am happy to show the it to any serious buyers. Also, this will be cash only deal.

I've added pictures of the boat tail fender, and pics of the matching VIN numbers from the engine frame, the engine itself, and the title. have other photos of the smaller rear 'under fender' which fits under the boat tail, and pics of the original timing cover which was changed out during the electric start install. There is also box of misc brackets and other small parts for putting the bike back to factory configuration. have no more space for posting additional pics.
