This is one family owned bike. The dad rode it till the original engine quit several years ago. His Harley mechanic found the cases were pretty bad and they found good 1975 engine to build. It is mild build with overbore and upgraded cams installed. The frame was powder coated with all original tabs,mounts,etc., untouched. new Revtech transmission and 3" belt drive installed. At this point several years ago health issues caused the dad to give up riding and he transferred it to his son. After couple of years the son finally figured it was over his head to complete. We do custom paint and minor custom accessories and were looking for display bike for an upcoming show for our booth. It has the popular "denim" semi flat paint with painted pinstripes and painted emblem. To complete the bike we added the new "springer" 2" over front end with new 21"spoked wheel and tire. New chain,rebuilt carb,new wiring, brakes battery,etc were done to complete the build. The only thing not replaced was the rear tire which is probably 50%. Corbin seat and 1967 Bsa horn (off of cafe racer personal project). We did the whole break-in procedure of run and cool down and moderate riding. The bike is kick start only. am 70 and it starts for me on the first or second kick. If ignition and carb are right these shovelheads start great. The FX shovelheads were the last frame that was hand welded and had the swing arm attached to the frame They were 100 lbs lighter than the later fxr and dynas and is getting hard to find one uncut or not modified. The show was success with many appointments for custom paint and one of our jobs won best in show people's award. So time to start another bike for next years show. Title is free and clear and numbers match the frame. Bike can be stored here for several weeks until pickup. Milage is unknown. Custom painted helmet included, extra large. Only minor problem noticed is the voltage was jumping around some so new regulater and stator assembly have been ordered and will be included for the future if needed.
