Excellent project bike. Barn/garage find. 1976 1000cc Sportster. Right side kick  and electric start Harley oil cooler, S+S Super carb, drag bars on 6" risers, Mustang seat. Lots of chrome but needs to be polished or replaced. "No-alibi" pipes. This is BSA style right side shift bike. There is ding in the rear rim S&S Super E. Carb needs to be cleaned and rebuilt.  Kicks over, good compression, not getting fuel to the cylinders. Electric start works well. Previous owner tried/failed at wiring up the signals.  Headlight horn work. Bike will need new battery or conversion to smaller twin cam style battery.  I have an extra battery for demos. Would be good power-plant donor for newer rolling chassis. will entertain any reasonable offers. Have too many bike projects and would like to hand this one off to someone with more time.
Just adding some more information as have gotten countless messages about this bike.  I will also add more pics.  I am not the original owner so do not know what was done to the bike beyond what can see.  
1. There was question about the engine not matching the frame due to it being right side shift and Harley changing over to left side shift in 75.   Here is the pic of the case and the neck. Both match
2. Update from some friendly ebayers and sportster enthusiast.  Many people converted 75 an 76 back to right side shift by simply changing the shifter shaft back to the longer one from the earlier models. It is also likely that the Kicker was added after the conversion back to right side shift.
