Selling my 1979 Honda CBX.   want to be clear that this bike is being sold as is and where is, which is in southern Ontario Canada. It has clean title and will supply the sellers package which shows prior owners back to 1980. If you are able to view in person before bidding  please do, if not then will answer any questions you have, providing know the answer.  Although this bike does not look like it just rolled out of the showroom, it is very clean and presentable and with some minor tuning it could be enjoyed as is. received as part of package deal with another CBX and have no use for two red 79s. Other than for the videos attached, have not driven this bike. Good news:  This is complete CBX that starts, runs and stops. Head and tail lights, signal lamps, gauges and horn all work. Wheels are correct and in good shape. good looking bike that is sure to appreciate in time. Not so good news:  As mentioned this is 37 year old bike that was enjoyed for 57000 kilometers. (35300 miles) and yes the speedo is in Kilometers. The paint looks good but there are some flaws with the most noticeable being small dent and touch up on the top right of the tank. The front fender and tail section are damage free but again the paint does have some minor scuffs. At some point the seat was recovered but is not the correct material. The exhaust was also modified at some time with holes drilled into the ends. It also has been patched under the brake pedal area.Mechanics: The bike sat for years so changed the oil as well as the plugs and drained and replaced the gas. It runs well but cleaning and sync of the carbs may be in order. The brakes should be flushed and adjusted as the rear reservoir was low and the rear caliper sticks.The bike shifts well through the gears but on occasion sticks when shifting back to neutral from first. This is possibly just clutch adjustment but worth mentioning. Payment. non refundable 500.00 deposit via paypal within 24 hours of the auction ending and the rest via bank to bank wire transfer if you are planning to ship or if you prefer in cash upon pick up. Please do not bid if you have no intention of following through with the transaction. This bike is in Ontario Canada  and if you are in Europe its going to cost money to ship it to you. If you are in the USA its going to cost money to have shipped to you. Unless you are in the Toronto area its going to cost you to have it delivered to your garage.I have received few questions regarding importing this bike into the USA. do have an Ontario Ownership (title) in my name. Once payment is made sign it over to you. As far as importing you will need the ownership along with bill of sale. searched the US customs site and since the bike is greater than 25 years old it does not need to meet the DOT or EPA standards.
