This stunning low miles survivor motorcycle was purchased from the original owner in St Louis, MO. Beautiful black-gold factory paint, coupled with polished aluminum and chrome. The gold fleck in the paint only appears in direct sun. Never dropped or wrecked. Perfect original seat cover. Stored away these last 40 years makes this XS650-SF as close to new as you'll find now. The original owner's manual, original tool kit, factory sales brochure, Yamaha factory key and copy of the original title is also included.    To return it back to operation after long indoor storage, everything needed was either replaced or rebuilt:: Front and rear brake master cylinders, front and rear wheel calipers, both fuel petcocks and filters, both oil filters, both BS38 carburetors rebuilt, including NOS floats, then tuned and synched, new air filters and air filter boot, full tune up with valve and cam chain adjusted, speedometer and tach internals lubricated, cables lubricated, new battery with charging tender, all bulbs and instruments work perfectly.     Motor starts easily and purrs smoothly from idle up to speed and back to idle without hesitation; transmission shifts smoothly up and down as it should. Cast spoke wheels are equipped with inner tubes. Factory trumpet exhaust pipes look and sound amazing. Everything works like new.     The XS 650 is simply an amazing, long-lived motorcyle marque that was built strong, reliable and trouble-free. Finding an unmolested one owner original in pristine condition like this one is rare. The value of this XS650 will only appreciate.     rode hundreds of miles through the Smokies last Fall and it performed flawlessly. Normally it is only ridden to local vintage bike night. The only demerit is slight 1/8'' nick seen on the middle edge of the tank; see tank picture, but you have to look to find it.     Financial needs force this sale, or I'd keep it.
